I was in the Vet last night. Proud of the way we fought and the way we played. Most proud of the fans that actually got involved and made a huge difference. Not so proud of this board where a nail biting loss to a highly ranked team has been used as just another chance to talk about how bad we are. Sorry boys, but “We Suck” is not a personality. Larry once said “If you’re a Trojan, be a Trojan.” Some of y’all need a little more Gordo in your life.

As a former player my heart bleeds that two classes now have not gotten to realize their potential. If we weren't "Trojans" nobody would care. I would guess 75% of all Troy grads couldn't even tell you a single thing about our football program and I don't need any Gordo in my life to want the best for these players.

I listened to the radio broadcast of the game. The fans did sound very loud at critical points of the game. I’m proud our team played toe to toe with them. I’m disappointed we lost when we had a chance to win.

Nobody called you out in particular stet. You see the general negativity in this community. If you haven’t, trust me, it’s coming on this thread. The second someone challenges us to be a little more positive, everyone clutches their Troy bona fides and becomes indignant that you said anything at all.

And if I can’t get you to take any Gordo, would you take some Re-form? Haha.

Not much criticism regarding this game but still not happy with our season. We’ve lost to some teams we shouldn’t have and almost managed to lose to an FCS team. Our red zone offense is terrible. I am ok with our DEF and I think they will be even better next year. Our OFF performance needs to improve significantly though. Based on this season, I think our DEF is a solid B and OFF maybe a C or C- at best. I think this is the least impressive offensive performance since 2005 despite all the talent and weapons we have on this team.
Next year, competing in the SBC will be even tougher...

It is an interesting phenomenon that I have noted at home or on the road. The less people sitting around not cheering the better we cheer. We have cheering folks and non cheering folks. It seems like many are less inhibited to cheer if they don’t have a massive number of butt sitters around them. So 2000 can sound like 10k and 5 can sound like 20k and 20k can sound like 40k. Last week I think most of us were cheering Coastal (their actions have diminished their earned good will). However there was 5k there and it sounded great. Last night maybe 2500 sounded like a good 8 to 10 k. If the students had been in session it would have been incredible as to the noise. Real fans love effort and passion. Inch deep mile wide fans are inspired by effort at times but basically like winning. What category are you in?

This is madness. In any year other than this one, Coastal has no hype. BYU sucks too. We have fallen so far that we have forgotten who the hell we are. We held the Sunbelt in contempt and had our eyes set on the P5. We had a close loss to Coastal? WTH? Before (The HC we don’t speak of) got here, Coastal was a warmup. We have seen glory and would have it again if we just cut the cancer out.

Little hoarse this morning as well. Scared that covid was coming due to same worn out and throat?? THOUGHT the same thing! IF it does come, I am blaming it on the maskless family and their friends that have squatted in our section all season! They have basically just laughed every time the stadium announcer has made the announcement! Last night I ALMOST said something when one of them stated loudly I have a mask, right here in my pocket. While another one pulled his out folded and placed it in front of his mouth proclaiming, I have mine. 😡

I will always cheer. No matter what. But I’m also going to discuss the things that are glaring. Nothing wrong with a good balance in my opinion.
This year I will celebrate the players and their efforts to be as good as they can be while questioning the direction of the program caused by the leadership currently setting culture and expectations for those players.
Are the players playing their hearts out? Yes and should be commended!
Has this staff allowed arguably the one of the most talented group of Trojan players to not meet their full potential and reap the rewards of their efforts? My opinion is without a doubt YES!
And I remember leaving FSU in 2006 with TROY fans cheering after a loss. I thought why are you cheering we just lost. It’s just not who I am. I’ll celebrate effort but my expectations for wins and losses are much higher now.
That’s not negativity mind you bc I am celebrating players like Carlton, Tray, and company for giving their all. I’m just saying they deserve more from our administration than what they’ve received in leadership.
I’ll add one more thing to this...
That’s my PASSION!!! (Not pessimism) shining brightly.
