Where yesterday I was convinced that no bowl Then Michigan goes and does this. Yes they are ducking OSU. That means that if we loose to Coastal.....DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN....That Coastal if wins against Louisiana then they are almost for sure in New Years 6 because THIS game skipping allows a G5 to get into playoffs as in Cincinnati. Thus other access to Coastal. Unless Cincy looses then access to Coastal. Thus all 5 remaining teams needed for Belt bowls. Since no requirement for 6 wins even if ULM bails on us it looks like we are in bowl. Wow when you thought things could not get more weird.
Hey we may still go 7-5. I am still cheering for Troy.....even if Everyone at any other school is not this weekend.

I have every confidence that God is going to see clear a path for his alma mater to go bowling this year. #OneTroy #WeFight

This appears if Harbaugh is saying: I cant beat you so I will whizz in your cornflakes before I go...…...

Ohio State still gets playoff spot. It’s the haves and the have nots. G5 is the have nots. Go Troy!

How in the world does the committee justify sending Ohio State into the playoffs? I really don't think they'll do that for the simple reason that Ohio State would get throttled by Alabama or Clemson and it would make their allowing the Buckeyes in look incompetent.

There is no way the big ten keeps OH state out of the big ten championship and forgo millions of playoff dollars.

There is no way the big ten keeps OH state out of the big ten championship and forgo millions of playoff dollars. They have the rules set before. It does seem ludicrous but they have to have six games. Now maybe they will delay everything and change their rules. That may occur but it is sort of hard to see them doing that at this point. However, if they are headquartered in Pennsylvania they could change things a little more easily.

Besides Nebraska argued this very thing in October and were denied. Again, if this were Pennsylvania but after the league denial on the same grounds...…..tisk tisk tisk. But hey it is 2020 and the committee has another option. OSU played Nebraska close for over a half and almost let Indiana come back. OSU is good but not as good as last year and now the Harbaugh dump has made their resume susceptible and suspect and an action by the conference as perhaps very suspect.
This however, is a great example of the butterfly effect. Wings bat in Michigan and a bowl team shows up in Alabama.

We either need to:
A. Beat Coastal Carolina AND beat ULM. B. Lose to Coastal Carolina, hope they finish undefeated, and hope Cincinnati loses to Tulsa. C. Lose to Coastal Carolina, hope they finish undefeated, and hope they somehow jump Cincinnati for the NY6 spot. C. Have an SBC team back out of a bowl for financial or medical reasons.
That's every possible hope for Troy to get a bowl.

Short of a miraculous turnaround against Coastal (which could happen), why does anyone want Troy in a bowl game? I love the team, but have zero faith that this staff can make a winning plan for any even middling bowl opponent. Another bad loss in already bad back to back seasons isn't going to help the team or the school. Unless there's actual money at play. I'm never really sure how that works. Or are we just hoping getting curb stomped in a bowl will force (The HC we don’t speak of) out?

He is in the goldilocks zone: not bad enough to be fired, not good enough to get an extension.

Those bowl practices pay dividends- win, lose, or draw.

Well they haven't beaten them this decade so why not. When Michigan fans are asked what's your Daddy's name? they answer O-HI-0
