It appears that MANY are DONE! Patience is GONE and each individual will need to decide at a personal level how their support will look moving forward into 2021.
I know that we tend to disagree and be negative a lot on this website, but the last time I checked, I believe we are all adults. With that in mind, we need to be realistic in our expectations of what damage control is going to happen over the next month.
As much as I would like to think our concerns and desires will be addressed by the university administration and the athletic administration, we know that probably there will be a few assistants sacrificed so that the payout does not have to be paid and in an attempt to calm us down (and keep our monetary support). So instead of discussing names of head coach replacements we probably need to be wondering who will actually be leaving.
I can honestly say this is the first Troy football staff I have no personal contact with! Sadly, I would be able to identify only about 50% of these individuals IF shown their photos. It is NOT my intent for this thread to turn negative or be harmful in any way to our current staff, but more of an opportunity for Troy SUPPORTERS to share their POSITIVE thoughts of those listed below who have excelled as Trojans.
(The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of), Head Coach Brian Blackmon, Special Teams Coordinator Ray Brown, Cornerbacks John Carr, Assistant Head Coach / Inside Receivers Brandon Hall, Defensive Coordinator / Safeties Bam Hardmon, Defensive Run Game Coordinator / Defensive Ends Ryan Pugh, Offensive Coordinator / Offensive Line Andrew Warwick, Linebackers Cole Weeks, Running Backs Cornelius Williams, Passing Game Coordinator / Outside Receivers Davern Williams, Defensive Line Rusty Whitt, Football Strength & Conditioning Head Coach Dayne Brown, Director of Recruiting David Faulkner, Director of Player Personnel / High School Relations Matt Hassan, Director of Football Operations Jamaal Smith, Director of Player Development Adam Hymel, Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach William Paruta, Senior Football Analyst

Anyone (The HC we don’t speak of) brought in is a suspect, those that were here during the previous 4 years knows what a winning culture looks like.

I don't know who was brought in when (The HC we don’t speak of) arrived, with a couple of exceptions. As I look at on field production/position improvement over the past 2 years I say keep :
J Carr - for inside receivers play B Hardman - for DE play A Warwick - for LB play C Williams - any one involved coaching receivers R Whitt - toughness increased exponentially this season D Brown - hey, we've recruited well Smooth - enough said

Davern Williams played for LB and quite frankly the defensive line has been pretty decent.

Not impressed with Ryan Pugh as a OC or OL coach at all. I can tell you he couldn't hold Schlarman or Moore's jock strap as a OL coach. Him and the DC need to go

The only one that is worthy (Definition: Having or showing the qualities or that merit recognition) to keep when it comes to this list is Coach Bam Hardmon. All others need to go to include Smooth, new HC and let him hit the delete button (I would hit it twice when it came to the DC).

Quite honestly, the only two on-field coaches I care to keep are Cornelius and Bam. I have zero confidence in the rest.

Cornelius Bam B Hall Blackman I didnât select Blackman for two reasons. 1) we continue to attempt to field KO inside the five and attempt to run them out, more often than not failing to get to the 25. I know the men are trying to make a play and run one back, but Iâm not sure weâve done that since Marcus Jones leftð¤·ââï¸ 2) the failure to develop, or in the absence of development bench, Legassey. For some reason, I just overlooked Hall when I listed the coaches Iâd keep.

But Mr. Legion, would it matter to you in the big scope of things if (The HC we don’t speak of) let go one or two position coach or a non-field coach ? Is that really damage control ? What would that accomplish? What would replacing a few coaches/coordinators really accomplish? I still believe Hawkins and AD Piss & Vinegar ride this out until the end of 2021. (The HC we don’t speak of) is baked in at this point. Plus if they let (The HC we don’t speak of) make his own choices, then a 2021 transition is easier for them because they can shift 100% of blame to (The HC we don’t speak of).

Saint, I appreciate your response and I think we are in agreement. Notice the three sentences that I have placed in bold letters: The first one, " I would like" ... That thought would be Utopia, this is Troy, so we know that will not happen (it appears you confirmed that in your post); The second one, " It is NOT" --- I did not share my thoughts for a reason (try to keep it positive); and the third one, " But Mr. Legion" ... my responses to your four questions would all be negative (No, No, Nothing, Nothing).

Excellent post Mr. E. The fact is that (The HC we don’t speak of) isn't going anywhere this season and I'm not really sure they'll lean on him to ditch parts of his staff in the offseason. My feeling is that the calculus will be: here is year 3, earn it or find the door. The interesting part will be how the fanbase reacts. Are people willing to root for the team even if it means that the team's success means (The HC we don’t speak of) might remain?

Say Mr. Covid is still pissed next year and limited fans allowed. Fan interest is in the toilet now and add Covid to and you might have 1,000 fans a game (depending on how many players parents show up). And then say Sleepy Joe claims credit for killing Mr. Covid and all fans allowed in. Fan interest still in the toilet, season ticket sales are in the sewer. Troy starts a partnership with the local Chick Fil-A owner and every combo meal gets a free game ticket....then maybe, maybe 5,000-8,000 fans are there with announced attendance of 19.578

As soon as (The HC we don’t speak of) can he is out the door. He knows we donât like him and he knows he is in over his head and never going to get a HC job anywhere. Survive and glide....that is Chips hope. Pay him and sit him in a dark room and get a young guy who wants a head job for next to nothing. With the caveat of getting paid better after one year of showing you have a spine and energy and work ethic and leadership skills. We are screwed with HIM around anyone next year. He is caput. But hey he could win.... WHAT YOU SMOKIN WILLIS?

When you said You would happy to win as soon as (The HC we don’t speak of) left, I was disappointed that buzz was pulling for us to lose as long as (The HC we don’t speak of) was here. Glad you clarified.
