I've wanted us in the Cure for a few years now. But I don't think Troy gets out of Alabama without winning the conference.

December 19 would be 1 week after South AL on Dec. 12? Interesting

Just heard Johnny Williams on Barry's radio show. If Troy is not in one of the 2 bowls in Montgomery, I will leave this message board forever. Johnny did not come out and say it, (don't want to start rumors) but he said enough to confirm what I've said from day one. So be prepared for Troy to be in the Gump on 12/23 or 12/25.

How are tickets and attendance going to work for the Bowl Games? 10% 20%?

I've also heard that 5-7 will make a Bowl possibly due to PAC 12 and MAC not playing and Big 10 entering late

Johnny Williams is also the organizer of the FCS Guardian Kick-Off Game. This was held in August and was between 10-20% capacity. A lot of this will have to do with the local municipalities as well as the teams.

How are tickets and attendance going to work for the Bowl Games? 10% 20%? Likely gobbled up by season ticket holders.

Good thing they have less than 4 fans. Will be hard to get social distancing without their team needing only 4-8 seats.

ua'sb would stomp a mudhole in us. We'll see? It doesn't matter. Troy getting into an in-state bowl game in a free-for-all bowl season will still be enough to get (The HC we don’t speak of) deified win or lose.

Montgomery on the 23rd is most likely. Local folks coming in and return home not to screw up Christmas. Christmas bowl possible but no one will travel except local folks.
So which is it. Have a no fan 23rd bowl or a fan bowl at 40 percent for the 25th. Probably Walkers choice....I would actually try to go for us one game and UAB the other. We could get 40% either day. UAB would get about 4% either day but that is better than 2%

So I guess it's participation trophies for everyone this season. Bowl games haven't been about being good for years. Besides, with schedules the way they are, it's the only way to get enough teams for all the slots and still keep most people interested.

In this SCREWED up year, if I can get 10k people to show even for a day or TWO it helps the economy of that location. Bowls will be prioritizing that even if it seems like a participation award. But as 2020 has shown, JUST being able to participate is a win. There is no doubt if we win 5 or less we should not take a spot. Win 6 sure will try to be there.

I still think we win 7 at least and nobody is being deified this year due to bowl appearance. We win 10 total this year and yes THAT would be an accomplishment with what we have coming back next year. Heck I might even become a (The HC we don’t speak of) Monk.
