I really am impressed with Free -- even last week in the loss. He has great vision, pushes the ball vertically, and lets the thing rip with confidence. Most yards thrown for a first time starter in today's W. I think he may have won the job.

Had a couple drops & couple that we all wish that he’d have back. But overall, he’s done a pretty darn good job. He throws a nice deep ball and with some accuracy.

Watson has accuracy and Free has power. I haven't seen practice though. I still like Watson.

Ark State D was the worst we have played! it is for sure that (other than ULM) that the sledding get much, much tougher from here forward. In some cases by 100 yds allowed per game on avg. Gonna have to game plan, be sharp, and adjust against most of the rest of the schedule.

Ark State D was the worst we have played! Counterpoint: Watson struggled against FCS EKU.

After Ga State game Watson was second in conference in passing but first in Percentage. 20th in Country! We are fortunate to have Watson and Free! Our Schedule gets tough from here! Hopefully we can put together a run with whoever is playing! I sure hope we have Watson ready to next week just for playing sake! We control our own destiny from here! Go Trojanz!

Ark State D was the worst we have played! Counterpoint: Watson struggled against FCS EKU. Third game in a row where we've struggled after our initial scores. That's a trend and it bothers me. Auburn had this problem when (The HC we don’t speak of) was their OC.

Taking a quarter, drive, series, or even a play off is not an option. The league has gotten much better. Really canât sleep on anyone.

If nothing else, Jacob Free needs a drive or 2 each game that are his to lead the 1s. Keeps him fresh. Just my 2 dull pennies!

I've got to say... I'm starting to like Free as the starter.
He won't hesitate to throw a 30-yard or 40-yard bomb.
Watson seems to not prefer deep passes, which lends to him having a higher completion % and less INT's, but he's also throwing for less yards.
Jacob Free just chucked the ball over 400 yards today, something Watson didn't even do against weak pass defenses like MTSU, Georgia State, and EKU.

The only thing I hate about the offense under Free is that the running game is not even an afterthought. It doesnât exist. Itâs like (The HC we don’t speak of) has a new toy to use, and heâs gone all in on it. That might hurt us given the tougher sledding ahead.

It already doesn't exist, not because (The HC we don’t speak of) doesn't want to run, but for whatever reason the blocking isn't opening up holes for our RB's. I'd rather pass for 400+ yards a game with no rush attack under Free, than barely pass for 300 yards with no rush attack under Watson.

Jacob has done a fine job. As far as a learning curve with all out pressure Watson is ahead. Neither are tremendous run threats but at present have to go back to Watson due to our offense becoming virtually one dimensional with Jacob (and that is a little odd given neither are runners) However, after BYU Watson adapted to a little better under all out pressure (IMHO)

Jacob Free scrambling for that TD and reaching for the pylon was an impressive decision. Most pro style QB's would keep looking for a WR and simply throw it away.

You have to take what is given if no receivers. It was a good run and dive but neither is going to be a real threat to run. The biggest difference. At this point is simply decisions when heavy pressure. We use to have a kid named Corey Robinson who actually makes these two look like Olympic sprinters. The guy could chuck it but was slower than Hemi in a concrete loin cloth

Word is Watson had bruised ribs against EKU and the Shot he took against Ga State fractured one. Could be out 2-3 more weeks not sure.

Had those around his age and remember two weeks later when active felt like an ice pick. His dad initially said he had a fracture and if that is true he will be out this week at least
