Game on ESPN. Rooting for Ga. ST. Why? BECAUSE I do not particularly care for Ark. ST. Red Dogs.
But I do like Irish Setters.

We are (probably) better defensively than either of these teams. I like our chances.

We are (probably) better defensively than either of these teams. I like our chances. Hard to tell how good we are offensively or defensively. We have played a 0 win team, a 1 win team, got crushed by a good team and play a medicore FCS team Sat. I don't like the fact we played three patsy teams and demolished by a good team going into Ga St, App, Coastal and Ga St

We might be better defensively, but playing both of them is going to require playing good offense, obviously.
We can't have stalled drives and missed field goals against them...

However, neither Ga St or Ark St are going to dictate our passing game with rushing 3 or 4 for that matter like BYU did. They were a better team than those two OR US. We may improve before we play the Chickens of East Beach, or the Goat herders of the Mountains. By some combination of improvement and some luck maybe we get to play the South Louseranna Inbreds and none of those three teams are going to be able to do what BYU did with 3 or 4 but THEY are better than the Jorja St Kitties or The Red Welps of Arkansas. All in all we are a work in progress but we WILL NOT play another BYU front 3-4 that dominated us as well as they did.

We should be able to destroy EKU and then hopefully (convincingly) beat GA St. I am not happy with our run game at the moment. Texas St was able to contain our run game most of the game. I think it is mostly some OL issues we need to fix. If we can’t fix this then we won’t be able to beat the top 3 SBC teams this year.

You guys forget that Texas State has had a solid run defense this year and last. They had the #37 run defense in the nation going into the Troy game.
Here's how many yards per carry Texas State has allowed this season:
vs. ULM - 2.6 ypc vs. Boston College - 3.2 ypc
vs. SMU - 4.0 ypc vs. Troy - 4.3 ypc
vs. UTSA - 6.3 ypc
We were able to average more yards per carry on Texas State than a P5 team (Boston College) and a ranked team (#17 SMU) did. I think our run game is fine, but BYU and Texas State had stout run D's.... and is won't get any easier against Georgia State, who currently has the #33 run defense in the country.

BOLD. How did that work out last evening?? Well, they held Ark State to just 58 rushing yards and only 1.5 yards per carry. Better hope our passing game is ready.
