what happened to him. I thought we brought him to be the starter. Other than Omar we have signed at least six juco QBs since 2011 and none panned out. Closest one was Deon Anthony and I never understood why they stuck with Corey over him

CNB opted to start Brandon Silvers . Gardner opted out to the JuCo route, wound up as an almost Heisman candidate at Washington Cougars?? Now making headlines at Jax Jaguars. Ya win some, ya guess otherwise on others. cornhole notice that some QB's are Practice QB, others are Game QB. Seems CLB and CNB were sold on practice Qb's.

Whatever they asked of him, he produced. He was a gamer, in my opinion.

If John Elway, Brett Favre, and Joe Namath were also on the team, I wouldn’t know it because Silvers got the job done.

I saw on Twitter that he missed a significant amount of the start of Fall camp due to Covid Quarantine protocols. I imagine between that and only having 5 spring practices that helped (The HC we don’t speak of) make his decision. Maybe if GW continues to struggle he will reopen the QB competition. As for the Minshew situation, I sure hope we donât have that happen again, even though silvers, sawyer, and Barker have all been very solid.

Totally agree some guys are game players but unfortunately practice gets you to the game so sometimes a player doesn't get his shot

He threw just as well as CR and could run which CR couldn't out run the Tuba player in the SOTS

Because I've seen him throw, and even went back today to look at his JUCO film. He's got great pocket presence, great passing ability, great accuracy, and he seems to go through his reads. He also has a deceptively good scrambling ability for his size. You don't get named JUCO Offensive Player of the Year and lead all of JUCO in pass yards and not be a good QB. I'd love to see him get a shot. I just don't know how rusty he might be or how much of the offensive system he knows. And according to his JUCO coach, he was a tremendous leader.

Since NCAA gave everyone extra year of eligibility, he'd still be a Sophomore next year.
