I was told that Stadium protocols will be released Friday. Wow, like everyone here, can’t wait to see the announcement . As everyone has probably seen, the in-state SEC schools are going with 20% stadium capacity. That would be brutal for us. With a capacity of around 30,400, that would mean just over 6k. Hopefully, our protocols will allow for at least half capacity. I think it would probably cover most of season tickets.

That a the whole thing. There would be no need to social distance people they have tailgated together all day.

But not all tailgates are the same. So each tailgate squad should bring enough plexiglass with them so they can wall off their groups from other groups. Just a thought....not a good one but a thought none the less

We will have to see if tailgating is even allowed on campus. Regardless, I wouldn’t necessarily think social distancing would be required among ticket blocks. For example, the six seats that I buy wouldn’t need to be 6 feet apart from each other, would they?

I don't think so. For the Guardian Kick-Off Classic next week. My six tickets will be together but then there will be 4 seats on either side and the seats in front or behind will be separated by two rows. That is reducing their capacity to about 3,000. FYI - Former Troy defensive player Tony Davis will be coaching Central Arkansas in that game.

I think you might see limited on campus tailgating since the drawdown was originally scheduled as an outdoor event. It’s really not much different.

There will be a sixth home game. ULM, Texas State, Georgia State, Coastal Carolina, and MTSU are five, so expect to see a previously unannounced team on the schedule. JSU administration has stated its not them. UAB has already announced their schedule.

Don’t you enjoy other teams mentioning Troy. “Jax State AD Greg Seitz on school alumni Facebook Live tonight: Troy is not one of the teams that JSU will be playing this year.” Probably were not contacted, were afraid we might, now they can act aw shucks about it 😂
They are playing Florida State though.

From what I heard, Troy will permit tailgating, including Tailgate Terrace, however it will not be as tightly packed. Same as tailgating at the Alumni House.
I haven't heard about tailgating on other parts of the campus but it would seem likely that they would permit this as well.

= super spreader I guess you will have to include FSU in that category as well because they have announced a very similar plan.

I guess you will have to include FSU in that category as well because they have announced a very similar plan. FSU Policy: "Parking lots will open three hours before kickoff. Patrons must tailgate at their own spaces, and everyone should maintain the 6-foot social distancing standard between families and between tailgating areas. Face coverings are also encouraged while walking through parking lots and socializing."

I'm more interested in what the attendance policy will be. Any word?

So I'm wondering if I can still buy a single ticket or two if my son-in law comes for a game or is it Season ticket holders-students only?

The only way to guarantee a ticket for the 2020 season is to purchase season tickets. If single-game inventory becomes available, it will be announced at a later date.

So I'm wondering if I can still buy a single ticket or two if my son-in law comes for a game or is it Season ticket holders-students only? Single game ticket inventory will be announced later, probably on a per game basis. The number of tickets used by students will vary game to game, and there's always the possibility that what is policy in September won't be the policy in November. As was stated in the FAQ section of the athletic department's announcement, the ONLY way to guarantee a ticket for a game this season is to buy a season ticket.
