Who is going to win the starting job? Who are the main contenders? Gunnar and Parker, maybe?

One thing about (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of)... I believe he will develop a very good QB out of this group we have.
He was QB coach at Troy when Corey Robinson was SBC Freshman of the Year...
He coached Nick Mullens at Southern Miss, who broke records at USM and is currently on an active NFL roster.
He mostly coached Jarrett Stidham at Auburn, turning him into a 4th Round draft pick.
He turned Kaleb Barker into a top 10 passer nationally.
One thing he is, is a fantastic QB coach.

From what I saw Saturday. Parker threw the best.

I have a feeling Parker McNeil will be the guy. His JUCO film looks good. He's calm in the pocket and is very accurate, plus he's got protypical NFL size. He could use more zip on his passes though.
Gunnar Watson has actual experience though and knows the playbook and the players.
It's an interesting battle.

Ideally, we would pick a mobile QB. However, with so many talented targets returning and nice depth at RB, we might end up experimenting with someone less mobile but possessing some other valuable skills. In this case, the pro-style QB (either Free or McNeil) should be quite accurate, poised in the pocket, and exhibit some rare leadership skills. Otherwise, I think we should go with a more mobile QB.
Btw, I think Parker McNeil had no other FBS offer. Why is that? (just wondering)

If we can get a passer like Silvers or Levi Brown, we'll be just fine.
