So there will be no fall sports championships. Interesting because he said would try to play championships in spring. Hmm.... Let’s compare lockdown to non lockdown. Using Florida, Arizona, Georgia, Texas and Louisiana versus New York, California, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts. Lockdown states only 110% higher death rates due to covid When corrected for population. Their unemployment rates are only 61% higher than the non lockdown 5. What does this have to do with football. It can be done. It will be helpful to the whole country and it is NO MORE RISKY than doing nothing and hiding. I have posted lots of numbers and these are facts and to the lawyers who are lining up it will be hard to prove cause of covid due to football versus simple people contacts outside of football. God bless this country!

As said prior every place is going to have their form and period of time for a surge. The afore opinion based on facts and math are not discounting the areas that may flair during the season

The truth is nothing is isolated to itself. The conference’s that have chosen to sit it out are making a decision that is not necessarily without merit if the community/county has yet to see their surge. However for areas where the surge has occurred the exposure to masses (see protests) has not caused excessive amounts of covid. Some bounce some places due to initial run throughs were not extensive enough. With that said, all the communities and their economy’s are shot to heck in college towns. Psychosocial impacts in areas where the surge is ending or spent are doing much greater damage to their economies and their community psyche than a small proportion BUT SIGNIFICANT IF A LIVED ONE IS HARMED) number that will never approach the surge burn through numbers. This is not about a sport. This is about living with a virus which HAS BEEN, GOING THRU, OR WILL GO THRU EVERYWHERE. To every university that will cut massive numbers of their students sports, to every bar owner in those places where football has been cut, to every restaurant in those locales, to every child who is becoming more and more depressed along with the depression of young adults....I am sorry and I do pray that those who DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY DO OR CARE WHAT THEY DO FOR POLITICAL REASONS find the truth and accept it and minimize their absolute destruction of many many more than would be affected by covid WHEN OBSERVING THE ACTUAL NUMBERS in their communities and having damp down mitigation measures based on that. SUCH AS: ares where it has not gone thru has 40 % capacity at stadium and numbers going up. Announce game will not have spectators until they too are back to baseline of new cases that everyone will have for sometime. The new reality is ignorance based in ideology is a very scary way to live. Covid does indeed suck. I am just about to go see a covid patient. An example of ignorance that was for a short while a good idea is POSITIVITY RATES. Initially not enough tests than as surge goes by everyone tested. So, if you test 300,000 and 29999 are positive you are less than 10% but then 3 weeks later you only test 100,000 and 12,000 are positive YOUR POSITIVITY RATE HAS GONE UP TO 12% So Evening news says: Covid positivity rate up to 12% when actually cases have been way more than cut in half. Much more of the sick people being tested instead of everyone.

Oops they would actually lead with “Positivity rates up 20%!!” “HIDE AND BE VERY AFRAID”!

Big 10 commish under pressure but the Presidents and Boards say the issue will not be re-visited. With school starting we will see increase cases if the burn through has not reached an area and cases but not a large increase in hospitalizations in areas where burn through has already afflicted an area.
Have thought for a long time we would (could) have football. If this go ahead movement provides some football and even some mythical/real poll ratings without a significant increase in BAD stuff this will harm those conferences that chose to wait it out. . If prognosticator's are correct this may be the day we see our schedule and can only hope for the best that we can get through. It is impossible to know for sure but this I am 100% sure of: We can face the music now that the overwhelming surge has been handled here (Florida) and our medical community will be able to handle what comes next with football. We could just sit back and spread whatever pain there is to come over 9 months or so or experience about a POSSIBLE BUT UNLIKELY small increase in pain for a couple of months. Why am I for this? because then normalcy returns in some fashion sooner than later.
I am 62 and relatively good health. I know some of you are a tad older or younger and the effects of this virus vary. I wish all of you safety and protection in prayer and just plain hope if you are not into that.
