This week we play Coastal and I believe we can win. Our fan base, players, coaches, AD, cheerleaders and even our band needs it. Heck for this boards mental health we need it. Our meltdown for almost all those categories rivals Chernobyl. Good luck Trojans and Go TROY Go!

Even the Terracotta Warriors are looking sad and not standing tall and proud. They need a Coastal win.

We win by 24, with one of those scores a 98 yard return by Todd.
I don't really know how Coastal is doing other than the expected year over year improvement. But I think we win this with some effort.

FWIW... our upcoming games are against some of the best running teams in the nation. Georgia State was #9 in rush offense, and they ripped us a new one.
Coastal Carolina is #38 in rush offense. Georgia Southern is #7 in rush offense. Louisiana is #3 in rush offense. App State is #14 in rush offense.

App is going to bury us, we've always struggled with GASO and don't have the coaching experience/skill to adjust for them right now, and LaLa is going to run all over us with offensive yardage. But I think we can beat Coastal just by playing basic, decent ball that's heavy on offense with a good special teams play or two.

DT was more confident against GaSt than Coastal. We saw how that went. They played GaSt tougher than us and dropped 37 on App. If we played App today we would be begging to teleport back to Mizzou. Bad thing is when we do play them it will probably be on a national stage while they finish a undefeated regular season and get get the glory we always fell short of and get it in far less time than we have had to do so.
And, after all of it Chippy will have a presser talking about everything but the last game in a very vanilla boring @ss manner. Then in classic #SuitcaseChip fashion bolt for a coordinator position after leaving Troy in a pile of horse $hit.

If he does he will never get another HC job

If he does he will never get another HC job I dont think he will want one again. I recently turned down a job making quite a bit more than my current role. The job would be getting back into Information Technology and end user support. The raise was above my (dont have a choice) threshold but I turned it down anyways. DT is not good at working with the public unless its in a field I love. I prefer a calm cool office and project work if an IT role.
Chippy dose not seem to be good at the public either. He is probably starting to realize that now. He will sail off into coordinatorville, coach at 5 schools over the next 10 years, and retire to a beach where nobody bothers him.

I 100% agree with what you said but I don't think he leaves at the end of the season. If he does he will never get another HC job I dont think he will want one again. I've wondered about this. If being an HC at a power 5 is his goal, I wonder if he'd give up this easily? All he needs is one good year at Troy to move "up" to CUSA et al. The current lack of success is easy enough to blame on personnel issues and lack of resources. I think he sticks around waiting for a good season and HC offer at least until year three. After that, if he doesn't get either, he may be willing to take a coordinater position just to get out of Troy. But I do think, in spite of my opinion of him, that he's capable of a good season if he gets an experienced/skilled DC.

Georgia/Florida and FSU/Miami both today at the same time as our game, I think. Given our season, not surprised there's not much chatter.
That said, we win. Todd gets a 98 yard return.

This is just depressing. We've got some really good individual defensive players, but as a whole, our defense is just beyond pathetic. Hopefully we can out gun them, because right now it looks like it'll be the last team that scores will win.
