Let's go Trojans. We need this win badly.

Troy opens as a 1 point favorite. A little surprised by that based on how Georgia State has played this season. We can win this game, we just can't start the game down by 14 points like we did against USM and ARKST.

If we can manage to win this game my optimism in the rest of the season will be restored Exactly!!! We win this one we WILL have improved on the back side of our D because Ellington is a good QB when healthy. I figure we will have to score 40 To win this one if not more. They are 5-2 with Tennessee and Army victories along with ASU so why the heck are we a point favorite on the road?

Look how thirsty we are. We are hoping for a win against a team we are 5-1 against all time. I think I can. I think I can. The wall has cracked and is being held together by Barbie Band-Aids.

To many of my friends attend Georgia State. At the beginning of the season I was talking cash money talk; because, I expected better results.
After the lost to Arkansas State, they talking cash money talk...lol

I did see a lot of energy against South on the Defensive side which is encouraging. Still not sold but I do like the energy and hope is rolls into next Atlanta next weekend.

I don't believe any of the faithful posters here are bandwagon fans. We have differing perspectives on the state of the program but seeing issues doesn't mean we aren't fans. I'm diehard as they come but I won't pretend to not see the issues that are evident. I come here to celebrate as well as express concern. AtlantaTrojan is a diehard fan as I see it. Definitely not a bandwagon fan.

Yea, but that not a different perspective, that’s telling the program, the coaches, the players, .... “I’m only behind you if you win every game to my specifications” I disagree. It's telling all those entities "I love you but see you've been playing in a crappy manner. I'm not entirely sold on the new staff yet, either. This game will be a good measuring stick for overall improvement, and if you win my faith that you'll compete for the conference will be restored. I may also start to gain confidence in these new people who are running my beloved program that I've supported through good, bad, and Abilene Christian, and will support to my dying day. See you at the next game (even if it's painful to watch)!" They can win this one. At worst they'll be evenly matched, which should make for a good game. Defense looked better and more sure of what they were doing, and we found a running game. GA State is definitely better than South, but certainly not so much better that our guys can't beat them by a score or three.

Basically 99% of this team was recruited by the prior staff. When you are recruited one of the biggest reasons you sign with a school is a connection to the coach recruiting you and the head coach. I had offers from Georgia Southern, Valdosta St., Delta St. UCF and Troy. In order
Georgia Southern- Second choice but Erk Russell was intimidating after playing for a hard nosed HS coach Valdosta St. Third choice. Second closest to home, didn't conncet with the players or campus. Liked the coach but he left before signing day Delta St.- Fourth choice. Had a former player from my HS coaching there but to far and didn't like much about it UCF- Fifth choice. Closest to home, played in Citrus Bowl, HATED GENE MCDOWELL, he was a arrogant pompous $%)
Troy- First choice. Loved the players, Coach Mac that recruited me, Coach Rhodes and the campus
Point was Coach Rhodes and Coach Mac left my second year. Coach Brown and half the staff left this year. Players can't leave that easy. When we say we want the Best for Troy it is because these players deserve it. I will always cheer and support my alma mater but I will never settle for mediocrity after greatness. I lived it during my time at Troy and I don't wish that on these players. GO TROY and GO PLAYERS!!!

App State went through the same situation as we did and they are in the Top 25. Central Florida went through the same situation last year and they were in the Top 25.
We all love Troy Football and dont want nothing but the Best. The staff knew several of these defensive backs were leaving, we should have hit the Junior College ranks and recruited Defensive Backs just like we recruited Wide Receivers this year to make up the void.
I guess we got accustom to having 10+ winning seasons. I love Coach Lindsay offense. Nevertheless, if you score 40 points a game, you should win the game.

Letâs throw out the injuries to our numerous starters, including our preseason all conference RB, transfers and graduation. You want the the chef to give you filet mignon but only supply him with ground chuck. (The HC we don’t speak of) was not anybodyâs 1st choice. But you need to get real. give credit where credit is due, criticism when due. The players are fighting every game, they are engaged. They look to be in step with this staff. Ask Neal Brown how his transition at WVU is going. Not exactly smooth. Learn from that.

We are Troy not West Alabama. And you have a very low opinion of Troy players because you refer to them over and over again as GROUND CHUCK. I don't think they are ground chuck, I think they are Grade A Choice cuts being cooked wrong. I never ever said our players weren't trying, what I said is they have been put in wrong coverages, wrong defensive strategies and they deserve better. But I guess we only have Ground chuck to work with says you. Fans like you we would still have Rowell and you would be saying its because we have Ground Chuck

Fans like you we would still have Rowell and you would be saying its because we have Ground Chuck Why did you delete your last post ? Since you are having issues with analogies, take Neal Brown at WVU. WVU has made a bowl game 9 out of the last 10 years. It looks like they will miss a bowl game this year due to CNB having a losing record in his first year at WVU. Coach VK defense has been mauled bad several times this year. Would you say the same things about him and his staff as you do Troyâs ? Would you call for firings for CNB and his staff as you have for Troys staff ? Does this mean CNB and VK are aweful coaches ? Maybe itâs because they are going through a transition and WVU has had a lot of injuries, transfers and graduation losses. Wow, that sounds familiar. Be fair. Be logical.

The loss of Dunlap academically may turn out to be one of the most critical parts of this year. This was/is a guy with lots of experience and was (I think 4 time A player of the year). Not perfect but with injuries and youth and some talent need he should have payed greater attention to the student part. I hope he gets back here next year
