Don't blame the O for 35 out of 42 points on the board. Blame the D for allowing 40 out of 47 and our horrible special teams effort to allow them such good field position. We should have won. We even could have won if we would have given half-effort on special teams. Before the game I thought our offense would be the question mark, but that was a Wayne Bolt Blunder on D. No easy way to put it. No one is blaming the O. Straight up on the D

Offense has some real potential (if we can find a healthy RB). All three JUCO WRs are great additions, Todd, Geiger, McClain. Barker is almost there, he needs 1 or 2 more games to be really good. This offense will be better than NB’s offenses.
Defense: Looks like we have a problem here. Not sure if its due to all the starters we lost to graduation, the transfer portal and injuries but we need to fix this.

Well that sucked...and we lost BJ Smith too. yikes.
Looked like a JR coached secondary. I know we had some key guys out but dang.
Really concerned that we haven't had ONE takeaway in 2 games - not the TMTDM way.
Really happy for Kaleb for going over 500 yards for the first time ever for a Trojan. Might be the best WR core we have ever had.
Lots to work on.

We only ran 16 times, and 4 of those were from Kaleb getting sacked and taking -19. He looked for the deep ball a little too long on some plays and caused most of those issues. Can't blame him for how wide open it was tonight, though.

We are going to be in some shootouts this season. We got spoiled with VK and his half time adjustments.

Not to mention BJ going down on a wildly inaccurate pass. That hurts our run potential greatly.

Does anyone know if BJ can get a medical redshirt?
I really like Billingsley, and he can get the job done. But it's the experience level after him that could be a problem.

I am in a hotel and don't have his bio. If he is a fifth year senior it is very difficult to get the NCAA to grant a sixth year. It has happened but it's rare

I think it is defensive scheme. How many times do you get burned over the middle before you adjust?

Here's a thought...maybe it isn't the scheme, but the execution.
Jimmy's and Joe's are more important than x's and o's

I think it is defensive scheme. How many times do you get burned over the middle before you adjust? Well from 2011-14 hundreds of times. I hope this isn't Rowell-Bolt 2.0. VK made adjustments and the correct ones. We will see how our current DC does the rest of the season

It has happened but it's rare I think we can still redshirt him, but I could be wrong. Would be huge to have him back next year - since we won’t have Barker and at least three OL starters back next year.

Those we lost in the portal are hurting us more than anyone was willing to admit. O is okay. D is a disaster. 514 passing yards???

Losing Murray and Jones to the portal, and Dunlap to academics were huge blows to an already thin and inexperienced unit. On top of those guys, we graduated some guys like Blace and Rook that were game changers. We are young back there and Brandon Hall has his work cut out for him. I believe the players will get better as they get more experience, but a lot of tonight was on coach Hall. Whether he can improve the defense as a unit is a question who's answer will reveal itself in the coming 11 or so weeks.

After my drive home I'm a lot more hopeful about this team. switching coaches is always difficult for a team, and for now I'm going to be optimistic about our coaches getting buy in from the players and making adjustments. A bad day in Troy is better than a good day lots of other places, and I'm always proud to be a member of this fan base with yall and an alumni of Troy University.

The correct video is up at troytrojans.com Coach said he was really pleased. That is opposite of our last coach who said it's not ok to lose. I don't get a warm fuzzy from (The HC we don’t speak of)'s pressers. I suppose I'm not used to his style. I'm not ready to abandon ship yet, I'll just treat each game as more of a booze cruise. Lot's of Bourbon this season.

Rookard and folsom yea they were definitely game changers. Blace and Marcus in my opinion were game changers in there freshman years. Jones didnt do much last season and neither did brown. They both goth burned alot go back and watch the games. Dunlap got burned as well. Our secondary has never been top notch not since the leodis and elbert days. Vic made adjustments when he was here yea he definetly did and the d-line always do well here. But everybody knows on the defense the secondary is always suspect year in and year out. When was the last time you seen a db get there head turned around?...Its been years. I think if they make the necessary adjustments they will be fine...gotta learn from your mistakes which there were alot...didnt really see any adjustments...wrong coverage (most of the time)...lets just hope when they watch film they can see the mistakes and hopefully he can make better decisions for the remaining of the season...Offense is gonna be really good on a positive note.

Lot's of Bourbon this season. Not where I can watch the video yet, but I'm looking for one main thing. He takes responsibility for the loss as head coach and says they didn't do a good enough job overall. No loss is acceptable and no excuses. If he didn't do that, the little bit of faith I was holding out for him is probably gone. I wasn't happy with his pregame presser where he said this game didn't matter because it was noncon. Felt like he was preemptively making excuses for losing like coaches did in Blakeney's last few years. I want to see something else (ownership) postgame.
