Very impressive deal between USF and Bama. They have agreed to a 2 for 1 deal in the future. This is the first time Bama has played AT a G5 since 1992. This may set the tone for other "big boys" to bend a little because "if Bama can do it, we can do it"
The best part is they play AT USF first

It will be a virtual home game, with majority UA fans in Raymond James.

I remember one of our AD whatshisname talking about the 2 for 1 and how it doesn't really work out well for the smaller school. Granted, for a Bama it might be worth it but I wouldn't do it for an average P5. I'm more of a fan of the win clause in our road game contracts. Meaning if there was a clause in our LSU contract that said if we win they had to come to Troy, that would be a big deal.

Would you rather make a $1mill X 2 for the athletic dept or pay a big program to visit Troy 2X??

I would assume the payout would be dramatically reduced if they agree to come to Troy.

Couple of things. 1) Raymond James probably holds 30,000 more than Bright House Field 2) Tampa is a way better sports town than Orlando 3) USF is a more established school (older) than UCF 4) bigger payday for Bama because Raymond James will be packed

3) USF is a more established school (older) than UCF UCF has had a team since 1979. USF has only had one since 1997. UAB is older than USF.

UCF started as D3 in 1979, USF started as 1-AA and quickly transitioned to 1-A. Bright House holds 45,000 Raymond James seats 65,000. No comparison between Tampa and Orlando either as a sports town either. I can understand why Bama chose USF
