Troy Men's were in a heckuva fix vs The Chants in Conway, SC today. - >Lost to the Chants (15-14) 88-75 at Trojan Arena January 3.
>Winless in 30 days. >Playing without preseason Sunbelt All-Star shoe-in JV. >Last game of their careers for BJ Miller and Alex Hicks after a disappointing Sr season. >Down by 14 after the Chants run to start the 2nd, only to have Sr BJ Miller foul out on a questionable Technical call at about 17:00 in the 2nd...
Easy to get down, throw in the towel and regroup for next season. Led by Sr Alex Hicks rebounding, shooting of Freshman KJ Simon, Sophomores Davion Thomas, Javan Johnson and Darian Adams... and superb defense that held the Chants scoreless for much of the late 2nd, our Kids clawed back to take the W, 74-67!!!!!! These kids showed heart, energy, passion and TROJAN PRIDE in a surprising and exciting comeback win to end the season!! WOW! What a way for these young'uns to start their offseason! CONGRATULATIONS MEN OF TROY!!!

Hicks, Troy Comeback to Top Coastal 74-67troytrojans.com/news/2019/3/9/basketball-m-hicks-troy-comeback-to-top-coastal-74-67.aspx?path=mbball QUOTING COACH CUNNINGHAM"I'm really happy for our team; they have been through one of the roughest stretches that I have seen a team have to go through with the loss of Jordon and how it basically wrecked our season. I was so happy to see the team finish the season on a positive note and the joy and emotion in the locker room is something that I will always remember." "A lot of guys contributed, KJ Simon hit some big threes in the second half, Davion Thomas made some huge plays in the first half while Devante Foster made those plays in the second half and Darian Adams played every second of the second half. So, it was a team win all the way, we had great energy on the bench and it's a great way to end what's been a really challenging season." QUICK HITS- Troy bench outscored Coastal's 36-8, 22 of them coming from Simon and Thomas - Troy held Coastal to just two three-pointers made (2-of-17; 11.8 percent) which is the fewest made three-pointers by an opponent this season - Troy ended the game on a 10-0 over the final 1:42 while holding Coastal scoreless over the final 2:06 From Troy Athletics Communications
