Because WVU stole our coach and has left us up the creek. I wanted Brown to stay. I don't care if WVW is a "more established program" or not bottom line is we got a raw deal. I'm so sick of this mentality we're just a feeder for the Power 5 Conferences who can come in anytime they want, take what they want and leave us with nothing. Yes, I'm angry about it. I'm even more angry that we just blindly accept this like this is the way it's supposed to be. We have to start all over with nothing now and everyone acts like this is no big deal. I want Troy to be more than a Group of 5 school. I want us to grow the University and the Program and just taking this on the chin isn't the way to do it. Brown was looking for another job when he signed his initial contract with us. He’s interviewed with anyone/everyone who has called. WVU finally offered and he took it. The blame is not on WVU. I trust they realize he’s already looking to leave them for a “better gig” as I type this. But I completely agree with your feelings on how we are used. Hopefully we find someone who sees us as truly relevant and stays to ensure we are. I like Coach Brown ... he did a good job for us. And ... through our support and the opportunity he got with us ... he's cashing in and moving on. That's what coaches do. They are hired guns/mercenaries. So, let's not get too carried away when we hear coaches talk about how they "love Troy" and how it's such a "special" place, etc. Pretty much any coach we hire is here for one reason, and one reason only ... to move on and cash in! Heck, Chan changed my life (really helped save my live) ... and I think the world of him. But he was here two years and moved on/cashed in. Every college in the country is in the same boat! In professional soccer they use the term "buying or Selling" clubs. (for players and coaches). So for sure. Coach Brown right now is thinking about how he can position himself for one of the "buying" schools (UA, Ohio State, UGA, etc) And even at one of those schools ... there's the possibility of them moving to NFL. So, as far as Coach Brown ... he used us and we used him. He brought us some national attention. If he wants to move on from WV, he'll need to improve at getting team ready to play ... regardless of situation (he did well ... but we also laid some eggs over the last few years). So, let's turn the page. Let's find the next hired Gun who can take us to the next level. And, hopefully when we win really big ... we'll have nice big buyout attached to the guy so we can continue to improve ... and the next hired gun can take us even higher!! Go Trojans!!

I’m thrilled that not only have we turned the page, we’ve turned the final page, on this one. The student athlete cupboard is loaded and we have an excellent opportunity for a very bright future. Only one thing stands in our way.

The future is uncertain and frankly i'm tired of the WVU fans coming in here and saying thanks. You just screwed our program, go away.

It’s part of the deal. We got these great coaches to coach here BELOW market value for four years, esp VK. They delivered 30+ wins, 3 bowl wins, solid recruiting classes, two major P5 scalps, a Top 25 ranking, overall enhanced brand awareness and thus an improved fanbase + we have much better facilities now. So now our AD can utilize Troy’s enhanced brand power to hire a new coaching staff. The low buyout sucks though but that’s a different story. Amen

Yes..nobody is gonna stay at a school for 25 years...the blakney days are over...i mean unless you are at a bigger school and you are winning national championships probably the only reason why a coach would stay for so long. Neal is trying to better himself wats wrong with that. Every coaches dream is to coach at a high level and compete for national championships. What's wrong with that? Neal loved Troy. Everybody knows that There are plenty of coaches to get out here. If troy can keep the same system or actually go back to the original spread offense we will be fine. The players still are the ones playing so that determines whether of the team is gonna be good or not. Troy will find the right coaches...we are in a better position now to go and get good coaches.

Interesting article on the stability of the Clemson staff today on al.com. Just a little different perspective. Some of those guys could be millions ... but maybe around a million is ok if they are in a "special place" at a "special time"! www.al.com/alabamafootball/2019/01/why-clemson-is-the-opposite-of-alabama-with-staff-turnover.html

Not speculation those coaches will be in Morgantown this week It’s speculation until it’s offically announced from the university. I would hope our athletics department is working to retain at least some of those listed. Some recruits that WVU has offered in the past 24 hours have been mentioning Koenning in tweets about it. Doesn't mean anything officially, but certainly a sign. Perhaps Troy has told him he is not a candidate.

Not a young man any more ... and he's really good at what he does. HC brings lots of extra/non-football stuff. Being a popular/successful Big 12 DC ... that's a pretty good gig!!

Everybody has been too used to Larry Blakeney staying here for 24 years.
