There are those on here that don't have a lot of love for the pre game "Cry Havoc" soliloquy, stating that address from Willie's " Julius Caesar" has nothing to do with Homer's epics or Troy's history. I'll agree that is a valid argument, but I personally don't find it necessary to have there be a direct link between part of the pregame and our history to enjoy it.
I found this little tidbit in a Southern Pigskin article (credit where due) about last's night's bowl game:
With a 7.1% havoc rate -- tackles for loss, passes defensed, and forced fumbles per play -- the Troy linebackers sit in the national top ten.
For those who need it, this now provides an impetus for your participation as we all cry "HAVOC!" before the game. You can rest knowing you are appealing to the team to get tackles for loss, passes defensed, and forced fumbles per play🙌. We need all TROJANS crying "HAVOC". We need the fans in the stands to be in a frenzy.
We are TROJANS ONE and ALL and I wish you all MERRY CHRISTMAS.
