I was worried about the future of the bowl since RayCom got bought out... Glad they are keeping post season football in the Heart of Dixie.

I'm just glad the Sun Belt as a conference continues to have this bowl as an option. Keeps one less bowl eligible Sun Belt team from sitting home during bowl season (which could be us!).

Never want to go there. I like a road trip for a bowl game No one will ever force you to go there. You think Auburn or Alabama want to play in the Birmingham Bowl?

No one will ever force you to go there. You think Auburn or Alabama want to play in the Birmingham Bowl? Auburn played in Birmingham in 2015 and drew the biggest crowd in the bowl's history. The game is what you make it. The destination is what you make it and I am sure if Troy played in Montgomery they would make it special for the players and fans.

Bowls games are for players and NOT for FANS Agree. Then we should never go to Montgomery unless itβs the absolute last, last resort. Like a giant meteor hitting Earth type last resort.

I always want us to play the best game, against the best opponent, on the best day, in the best time slot, in the best city (best defined as best for the program). That said, because of my work and the difficulty I have taking time off between 12/10 and 1/2, the Camelia Bowl always looks good to me. Since I live in Dothan, I can treat it almost as regular home game, certainly as a day trip, and not worry about having to take time off work.
I understand the arguments against TROY in the Camelia Bowl, and they are legitimate arguments. I also understand that not everyone is in the same situation as me, so others have different preferences and opinions, but you'll never hear me complain about the Camelia Bowl being our destination. π€·π»ββοΈ
