So is this supposed to be a rebuilding year? Starting a new QB and RB, some other new starters, and overall a young team.
Considering all this, 4-1 (2-0) with a win over (0-4) Nebraska is not too bad. For example, UNT and FAU lost last night despite both having potent offenses.
I think we still need to be patient. CNB is mostly managing our games, scoring fast (even though he cannot control everything) and then not taking any risks. It seems like, he still thinks Barker is not ready yet. However, I wished we would work more on our passing game during games - Willis and Douglas are weapons and should be utilized accordingly. BJ Smith and Frye are doing good things for us, so Barker doesn't need to run "all the time".
Also, when will Henderson and Samuel return from their suspensions? And why didn't Letton play yesterday?

No. who said that ? CNB is in his 4th year, his recruits are upperclassmen. His 1st year could be called a rebuilding year due to the poor condition of the program when he took over. Also, the 100% expectation is for him is to win, championships. This is for every program in the country. Patient due to what ? It’s his 4th year.

We laid one egg, the other games have been terrific. The only question is." How long does Neal Brown stay at Troy?"

It's not a rebuilding year.. We are a good football team. Boise just beat us so bad that we are still feeling it. Also... I think the Boise loss was so bad that CNB might be a Trojan for another year.

No. This is definitely not a rebuilding year. We have a good team. Yes they still require significant adjustments. I have expectations of winning, the foundation is in place.
Go Troy.

There are Troy University's goals and then there are our goals. I'm 99% sure Troy's goal is to win the SBC. My goal is for Troy to destroy every college football team that has ever played while I enjoy a hotdog while watching. Some folks might have goals to just enjoy quality football and see the Trojans get a win. Any way it goes, I'm along for the ride.

If it was one shot out of that dog cannon it would be extra special!

I saw that video of the poor soul who fired that t shirt cannon while it was pointed at his nether region. He dropped and curled up like Norm after spending the evening with Hemi in Monroe watching Duluth. He may walk with a permanent hunch over.

I don't like losing, but I can stomach a loss as long as I believe the team is doing their best. I expect the team to do their best and not quit, win or lose.

And IF this team does it’s best through an entire game. We are not going to lose to many. Perhaps coach Leslie’s dogcussing worked and guys did play better. I don’t know enough to truly comment on that. However, this team is going to do fine with a little more consistency.
