Saw another projection has us playing LA Tech in New Orleans. My fav destination for us anyway. When I went and saw us play S Miss had a blast even though we lost.

LA Tech would have a good turnout, but I’ve always wanted a shot at Toledo. I’ve always liked them and respected them, that’s why I want to beat them.

Why would we want to play them in a nearly condemned facility when we gave the best fsvilities in the ‘Belt? EDIT - I misunderstood the question. For some reason, I thought the question was referencing a regular season game in Mobile. If we get Toledo in a bowl game, it will be good regardless of the location. Some locations are better than others, but still....

I've been to New Orleans in 2008, 2010, 2017. I'll never go back. City gets worse each time. I really enjoy walking the streets dodging homeless sleeping on the side walk, panhandling, dark scetchy alleys and my personal favorite the people selling booze out of their cars hitting you up walking to the Dome. Enjoyed my first two trips but last year cured us. Hope we win the conference but elect for another Bowl. I would love to see us in the Cure Bowl. Great trip for the players, 90 minute drive for me and if we played USF there would be a big crowd.

Bowling in Montgomery or Mobile > Not Bowling. True. That being said however, my favorite bowl trip was when we went to San Francisco (San Jose really but whatever). I had never been there before and it was so awesome seeing Troy fans around the city. I have been back two more times since. Anyway.... A good destination bowl can be fun for the players and fans. A bus ride up to Monty or down to Mobile is ok if you like ok things.
Out of the choices a SBC team has, I think the players would enjoy Orlando and Tucson the best.

Weather not withstanding, my favorite bowl trip was the '10 GMAC in Mobile. Yes it was 28 degrees at kick after having been 18 the night before, but that was a great game and Mobile did a good job of hosting the event. First TROJAN walk that I can remember occurred in the Riverview before that game. A lot of the CMU fans stayed downtown and they were a class group of fans, a lot of mutual respect. Oh well, sometimes I ramble on.

Mobile fans and supporters a class act.

Had a great time there as well. The wife and I had never been and it was a blast, even though it was a very soggy game.

That would be great, too, but the bowl committee would never let that rematch happen after the blowout.

And I don't give a Rat's A$$ about what you have decided. I have a 10 hour drive to go to a crap hole of a city that I don't care to go back to and my wife darn sure doesn't. And I assure you I'm tougher than you are..just sayin. My life doesn't revolve around Troy athletics like some on here does, so you or nobody else has the right to tell me what I will spend my hard earned money on. Been there three times and I won't go back, thats my choice. If you don't like it, I could care less.
