They looked decent, considering it was their first game of the season. However, they lost their only scholarship QB late in the game. The back-up QB is not really mobile and a walk on. QB3 is a FR walk-on.
I think we might have a chance... but won’t be easy.

Hopefully they will be ironing out issues. Then we can win. However, right now our Pass D is not good and that could spell trouble with ULM in 2 weeks. Let’s go TROY. As to our suspended players. You can either let those around you no influence, lift you up or pull you down. Henderson obviously has issues with following rules.

A win at Nebraska would be a wonderful thing. I'm concerned for this team right now. To me, The Sunbelt is a tough under-rated conference filled with really good football teams and so far I haven't seen anything special from us. ULM is our first conference opponent and they are 2-0 with a quality win against Southern Miss. Plus... we play them on the road. Our schedule doesn't get any easier.

No its not. Playing an FCS opponent is boring. That's why attendance at every FBS school is down when they play them. Its really bad when you play a team like FAMU that obviously watched film and were exposing our weaknesses. If that was a SunBelt team that prepared as well as FAMU, we would have lost. So did we lose on the scoreboard??? No. FAMU did their job and every one of or next opponents a favor by revealing our lack of pass defense. So yeah they beat us.

I think we play hard against Nebraska and keep it to within 2-3 TD's. Biggest game of the year is App St in Boone.

1. Nebraska has never scored less than 30 against us. 2. We have never scored more than 16 against them. 3. What magical pixie dust have you seen out of this team that will do anything to break those streaks?

They did! Seeing as any touchdown scored by an FCS opponent is worth 60 points. We lost by 1 point. The Naysayers on this board are obviously entitled to their opinions. From complaints of hotdogs, defense, quarterbacks, attendance to anything and literally everything this video only applies to a few of your comments. However, it is a great video and just wanted to have it on this post. Do I think the guys will play extra hard at Lincoln? Yes. Do I think we have a chance to win? Yes. The reason maybe a less than 100% Adrian Martinez to a walk on learning the ropes since the back up just transferred or just our guys turning in their best game so far. Would have liked a couple of suspended players to think a little more about team than self. Who knows what drives the decisions of some. But I sincerely believe we could see a close game if not an outright victory by the Trojans. It is a great environment and look forward to being there. I have NO DOUBT our guys will bring their A game as much as possible and if it still falls short due to the quirks of an oblong ball bounces I will be just fine and still cheer for them against ULM and so on. But all of the complaining and sky is falling comments I am left to wonder if you guys wake in the morning and thank the Lord for another day or do you get up and say "damn I had to wake up again?" I hope your lives are not filled with negativity that is displayed here not for my sake or any of us but for your own. This is a fan board. Some of the things to work on are obvious to our staff the players and the fans. Our opinions will not make a difference but as a fan I prefer to cheer and not denigrate everything about a program that is still growing. I actually wish all of you well.

Well it might be "boring" for you and those like you. Wasn't boring for me and those like me. I got to see 80+ guys play, with meaningful reps with the 1s, 2s and 3s. These guys come to play and ALL got a chance to play. If you didn't like this game YOU WOULD HAVE HATED the originally scheduled game for this slot, Presbyterian. When they opted to go back to D-II we had to schedule (QUICKLY) and got a GREAT GAME, from a business point of view! They brought a GREAT CROWD and had their band not DEMANDED a "performance fee" to attend (they need money real bad in Tally), it would likely have been a sell out! WHAT is BORING and something that I find HORRENDOUS is it sounds as if you would like us to go back to playing "BIG BOYS" for our non-conference schedule. Which is a HORRIBLE decision, because that takes us back to 5 home games and 7 on the road. Tailgating on Saturday, at the Alumni House, with no game being played at the VET - BORING! While I do agree that we HAVE GOT TO FIX our deep pass coverage. Short and medium stuff - we cover pretty well. We put LOTS of pressure on the QB, that is going to help the backend. I think they are just young and are not going through all their progressions (YES, DBs have progressions - it is called 'reading the play'). Vic gets this fixed, two weeks of tape should help him greatly, and we should be poised to do good things in the conference. Remember, our schedule doesn't even start until Sept 22nd in Monroe, LA. These first three games are warm-ups to what we are really striving to do! HAVOC!

The DBs we have in Blace Brown, Cedarius Rookard, Marcus Jones, and Terrence Dunlap have all played a lot of football. It's possible the spear position and cat safety are blowing it, but I don't know. Blace Brown was solid last year and isn't starting this year. He's made some mental mistakes so far. The unit as a whole needs to get better, even the guys with experience.
