THINK they will need to add MORE water to their indoor practice facility! When we walked out of the stadium yesterday afternoon at 3:00 pm I thought of this thread. A nice breeze was keeping the temperature down so I checked the temperature (79 degrees) and humidity (81 %).

I don't care how hard one tries, there's no way to simulate what we have going on in south Alabama this weekend. Brutal doesn't even come close to describing the fact that you can spend 15 minutes in the shade on a 74 degree morning and have saturated clothes at the end of that time.

It is kind of like last year when going to Boise it could have been decided to hump up a bunch of dirt to stimulate the altitude. Seemed like a good idea but it did not work.

Just checked our weather in Boise. 93 degrees and 20% humidity and it feels stuffy to me. Another reason could be the smoke in the air from all the fires around us. Visibility is really bad now. The humidity really has me worried going into the 4th quarter. Still, can't wait for the game. Troy fans, see ya soon and Go Broncos.

Current conditions in Dothan @ 6:35 PM - 75 degrees, 95% humidity. Because of the rain today and cloud cover late, it's a full 10 degrees cooler than it's likely to be in the 4th qtr on September 1. Add 10 degrees and t's likely to be oppressive, especially if there isn't a breeze....and there typically isn't for the second half of early season games.

OK Bubba, I've already shared my concerns about the 4th quarter and the humidity and now you throw this at me. This is starting to sound alot like intimidation. (lol) Seriously though, I remember a quote from Coach Pete when we went to Georgia years ago and got our rear end kicked. The 2 things that got us was the team speed of Georgia and the humidity in the 2nd half. I have a question. Do you thing the humidity is harder on the defense or the offense or is it equal? I know both sides feel it, but does it take a toll quicker on one side of the ball than the other? Just curious...

If you are attending the ballgame I think you will know the answer is both. However receivers with sweat dripping in eyes is a bit different than anything else and just having sweat everywhere as in arms. It is different. Harder to breath in ways that are unique. Just hard to cool down without evaporation.

It's harder on defenses late in games in my opinion. If either offense can string together long drives late, it will be tough for either defense to stop a solid running game.

I will definitely be watching the body language on both sides of the ball. Really excited for a great game.. Goodnite to all. Talk later...
