This year's conference schedule comes out shortly. Probably be a lot like last year with a couple of mid-week home games. I wouldn't be surprised to see the conference put Troy/App towards the end of the year as a "championship game" for the eastern division. Might be cold up on the mountain in late November!
We will all find out at 2 p.m. today.

I had my season ticket package in hand and purchased MY OTHER teams tickets three weeks ago. Oh, I forgot, they have Mardi Gras near the Sunbelt Conference headquarters, that cost at least a week.

Georgia State on a Thursday at home. South on a Tuesday on the road. App State last on the regular season, just as i thought.
Really wish the South game could be a Saturday again. I think it would really help the fan bases of both schools travel to and fro.

We traveled pretty well last time to South on a week night. Hopefully we will again this year.

After our recent success, this is a great schedule. I fully expected to see 2 Saturday games and the rest spread out over every night of the week.
Also a nice touch to the schedule of adding the Conference Championship game as if to say Troy has full plans of playing in it! It seems Ark State and ULALA were the only other optimistic schools in the SBC to do such.

A lot of dangerous SBC teams on this list. Obviously not surprised they are there, just making note. ULM in Viator's second year will be tough, as well as GSU in their second year. ULL, South, Coastal, and GS with new head coaches. A lot of unknowns.

Another weird October - Play Oct. 4th, 9 days later on Oct. 13, 10 days later on Oct. 23 and 10 days later on Nov. 3rd. We survived a similar scenario last year with the exception "that team who shall not be named", but it's hard to find a rhythm with that schedule.

App St in late November will be a cold game, especially if its at night. They have had snow there before.

The ULM game so soon bothers me. Matters little where they are in the schedule. There just the next team up to be beaten down. And if these team has issues this many games in then this team has much bigger issues then a UL-MONROE team.

In addition to the things you mentioned, there is no home game after the students have finished the semester, no Black Friday game nor is there a home game on the same day as the UA/AU game. There should be no excuses for not filling the Vet 6 times this season.

I understand the purpose of a weeknight game, but as a season ticket holder that is 3 hours away... Thursday games probably aint happening for me.

I too have trouble making them and I’m only an hour away. I agree that the Thursday night game will probably not generate a full house, but the inaugural Sunbelt Championship game, to be played in the Vet on 12/1, should😎. That is my #6 game.

I can only imagine how pretty Boone is with the leaves. Hoping for no freak snow in November. Last time Troy played in the snow it was not pretty but Boone, NC in November is not Mizzlu, Montana in Dec so that's good. Should be fairly cold and if at night really cold. And yes, I believe the winner goes to the Championship game.

I'm seeing on Facebook where people are complaining about not knowing when Homecoming is yet. Give them time to arrange everything. Who really knows when the Athletic Department even got the schedule.
