Jeremy Wise jwise@dothaneagle.com TROY – A few times throughout Saturday’s game with Louisiana-Monroe, the Troy Trojans had several well-hit balls turn into outs. It may be somewhat fitting, then, that they would cap a four-run rally with a game-winning run produced without a single hit. The Trojans loaded the bases in the ninth with a walk and two hit batsmen then scored the winning run when the Warhawks committed an error, giving Troy a 4-3 win at Riddle-Pace Field. “Right now, we’ll just have to take (wins) any way we can get them,” Trojans head coach Bobby Pierce said. “It was a little bit of this and a little bit of that that put us in a position to get the game-winning run to third base and take advantage of the mistake defensively.” Despite having ace Shane McCain on the mound, the Trojans (13-10 overall, 2-2 Sun Belt) fell behind 3-0 in the third and missed some early opportunities to rally thanks to great Warhawk defense.
