I didn't think we had a spot for an RB coach. Maybe this makes that spot available.

Think the RB coach was available because Reagan gave it up ...was RB/QB I believe? Then the new TE coach was due to the 10th coach slot.

The article seems to suggest Jon single-handedly turned around a pitiful defense. All respect to Jon but Vic Koenig, jordan Leslie and a bunch of others contributed as well.
Best of luck to Jon.

Well that article IS an Ole Miss generated piece. They want to make their new hire look as good as possible. I'd call it propaganda.

We will definitely miss Coach Sumrall and his family but I'm certain the opportunity was too good to pass up. Would love to see them back in Troy some day down the road. As painful as it is for the Trojan Nation, it says a lot about our program and the staff that leads them.
Go TROY!

He'll be missed on the defensive side but more in the area of recruiting North Alabama with his connections.

This reminds me of when CNB left and then came back with an awesome pedigree, gaining knowledge and experience. I hope Sumrall learns a lot out there and then someday brings it back to be the HBC of TMTDM.
