It's been a great year. We beat a ranked LSU, beat MAC and CUSA divisional champs, defeated conference offensive players of the year two games in a row, won a conference title, and blew out CUSA West leader in New Orleans. May have set some statistical records in the process.
Final National Stats (you know, the ones they said didn't matter):
1st - Red Zone Defense 1st - Tackles For Loss 3rd - Kickoff Returns 4th - Sacks 4th - Rushing Defense (yards per rush) 9th - Interceptions 13th - Sacks Allowed 16th - Tackles For Loss Allowed 21st - Passes Defended 15th - Scoring Defense 24th - Total Defense
The tackles for loss, sacks, and rush defense stats are a testament the Front 7's domination. We have a legit SEC level defense, and a whole lot of those pieces are coming back next year.

I think EVERYONE should use the facts from his opening statement to KEEP Troy Football in the minds of the pollsters. Especially since some on this site are worried we will be forgotten by the end of the FORTY bowls! LAST year someone continued to share a website that listed all of the pollsters AND their social media contact info. MIGHT be time to start reminding them about Troy for the NEXT TWO WEEKS!

As for the regular season, the only team in the country to not give up more than 25 points in a game!

As for the regular season, the only team in the country to not give up more than 25 points in a game! we held a good offensive UNT team to technically 16 points. Crumite snapping to Manute Bol was one TD and the other was late against the subs.

I wonder what the reason was? Would it be for more playing time?

I wonder what the reason was? Would it be for more playing time? In three words, my guess only, Academics or Easom or Willis.
