He was a coordinator. Don't know that much about him.At least that rules out Turk for that job.

Poor Napier, that place is the armpit of college football....best of luck. Really? Have you been there? Best Tailgate I've seen EVER! Friendly fans, great camaraderie (until game starts and is finished) The game is almost secondary to being the most hospitable host in the Sun Belt. If you ever go, check out the Krewe de chew tailgate and make some friends.

Why would anyone care if Turk got that job? Because he's a Hall of Famer from Troy who could be a possible Head Coach at Troy if Brown were to leave? What the heck are you smoking? Turk is 50+ years old and has no head coaching experience above DIII. Great Trojan and great guy, but under no circumstances should be the next coach at Troy. There is an energy and buzz inside our program now. A lot of that starts at the top with a young, energetic head coach. If you hire a 50+ year old guy on the backside of his career all of that is gone before he even arrives on campus.

How can I live with my self because I think its a dump down there....naw, I am just fine. It is still a craphole.

Unlikely , however and at some point a replacement will have to be found. Turk would be under consideration IMO.

I love Turk, one of the best men I know and a heck of a coach. I have zero reservations that he could win at Troy but I know he will never get the shot. If Neal leaves, a coach we need to look at is Mike Houston at James Madison. They won the FCS Title his first season last year beating the Goliath, NDSU. He has them in the title game again this year plus he led Lenoir-Rhyne to the D2 title game prior to JMU and won a conference title at the Citadel. Heck of a coach

If Troy is looking for an FCS coach , how about K C Keeler from Sam Houston State? He has his team in the playoffs every year. Grass from Jacksonville State would be interesting I don't know if Troy would want him though.

Did I miss something? Did CNB get hired by another program, or resign to follow his dream of being a shopping mall security guard or a Victoria Secrets photographer? Why are we talking about replacements?

Neal is our coach, enjoy the ride! When he decides to leave he will, nothing we can do about it so enjoy the song while they’re singing!
