Akron is in Bowl position. Boise St beat San Diego St. New Mexico St is competitive this year. We laid one egg. Looking forward to going to the Georgia St game and a win there could get us back on track. Arkansas St will be a real hurdle. The rest are winnable if these kids get focused.

My gut is telling me that Ga State is going to give us all we could ever want on Saturday. I'm not projecting any further than that. We have a fight this Saturday and we could lose but we better go down swinging.

Looking forward to seeing the game at the old turner field.

I have a feeling before this season is all over, Hemi is at least going to get a free Coke and hotdog.

They almost sound like Bama fans. There is a reason why you see so many Bama stickers on cars that are owned by people that couldn't spell college. You gotta be tough to be a fan of anyone other than the front runner. We are Troy. We mostly win but we lose one now and again.

I'm for troy all the way. I'd go to games if we were naia and give my support regardless. We have some lukewarm alums that are tide and tiger fans first that's on them. As for me troy is first then d3 emory and henry dad's alma mater and 40 year fan

As long as they come in the game and cheer on the Trojans. I’m sure there’s been a time at our tailgate, in the backyard of the alumni house, that the Bama game was on. However, when it’s time for Troy to play the TV is put up and no one stays at the tailgate.

What about those that wear alabama or auburn gear in the stadium? That is not acceptable to me

Guys this may sound odd but I like college football and Alabama (AKA Alacrapa is a good team with Satan as their coach) so occasionally I watch them and pull hard for anyone other Alacrapa even pull for Aublow when they play them unless Aublow is better that year then I pull for Alacrapa....but my point is I watch college football and like watching all kinds of teams and even to the Point of pulling for LSU the last two weeks but don't to upset by the game being on but draw the line at Alacrapa gear in the Alumni house unless a guest who happens to be an Alacrapa Alumni and then just direct them to the door as quickly as social etiquette would allow....heck I even listened on Sunday the Akron and Western Michigan game and would have watched cause I was pulling for the little leprechauns team. Isn't college football great?

I like college football in general. What hurts me are troy alums that see our team as not as important as Alabama or Auburn.I know they are out there. Go to jordan hare or byrant denny if you are in this group you are not welcome at the vet alum or not my two cents.

Every tailgate does it. That’s the beauty of game day. You can only stand and talk or eat so long. As long as they go to the game, I’m good with watching whatever game you like!

I attended Dunnellon High School in Dunnellon, FL. It has a rich and strong football tradition. Multiple state championships and at one point held the state consecutive win record. My father loved the game of football and we had a tradition for years of picking the best high school game within an hour drive of us. Sometimes it was my high school and sometimes it wasn't. We got to see a lot of great high school ball and got to watch many players before they went on the college and even some to the NFL I used to email Mike Turk, when he was still at Troy and recruited my area on several players that we seen play. My heart and loyalty will always remain to my high school and to Troy University but I still enjoy watching a good game of football no matter who plays

When tailgating watch whatever you want. The only problem I've ever had with this is in the stadium club the few times I've been in there. I remember while TROY was on the field playing many were watching one of those state SEC schools on TV. Poor form in my opinion. If you are at a TROY game watch the Men of TROY battle. That's one of the reasons I will probably never do the stadium club. That and being fussed at for standing and cheering. I'll stay in 207.

I got better food at the tailgating and I had to set behind this grumpy old couple that complained the whole game and all the old bag talked about was Johhny Long this, and Johnny Long that and how great the band and school use to be. I finally told her I couldn't take anymore of her &itching and complaining and if she hated it so bad why do you come to the games. They got up and left but were back the next game doing it all over.

My problem is the mentality of a lot of Troy alums. They see Troy football as an afterthought. I know many of them will attend whatever bowl game Alabama and Auburn goes to and not ours if we get eligible for one now. Same bunch who think the LSU win is just a fluke and just a way to dig at an SEC rival. I know a lot of them grew up rooting for the tide or tigers and few have degrees from Troy plus Alabama or Auburn but in the end you have to choose your loyalty. For those of you who think we can even compete in a bigger conference these folks are a big hurdle to that. I grew up in Virginia and am related to Frank Beamer. I'll still watch Tech on TV and like to see them win, but no way would I ever think of wearing VT apparel at a Troy game or go to a Tech bowl game even if Troy wasn't in one. Virginia Tech is not my alma mater plain and simple. Get behind your alma mater or your alma mater doesn't need you. How many of these will donate to Alabama or Auburn even in the form of a license tag and not think of giving Troy a penny?

You make some excellent points and I doubt there’s really anything you can do about it. It’s the same ones that showed their, normally invisible, Trojan pride after the win at LSU. The same people that ask for free tickets anytime they want to attend a Troy game.
