I'll just say one thing. I'm so damn tired of this team being absolutely allergic to success.
That is all.

The only highlight of the evening was the Sound of the south pregame and halftime. And I guess it was also nice just to be on campus for a few hours again. Hopefully CNB can turn around our wreck of an Offense. CNB stands in the way of a very special group of student athletes being 6-0 to date, 13-0 end of season. Talent that could have competed for the one slot in a New Year's Day bowl. He does not utilize all the talent. I believe Brandon Silvers is an excellent quarterback. I'm proud of him. But excellent quarterbacks, just like all of us, have bad days. His this year have been Boise and tonight. CNB will ignore the team to live and die by him. I don't believe Brandon or any of our other student athletes would expect this. CNB is not now nor ever will be a Trojan. He's all about himself. Smiling and sucking up the praise on multiple national sports shows last week. Even arrogant when asked if the same would happen next game like it did after being ranked 25th last year. "We got that handled. We learned from that". I had hoped some program paying more money would come along and sweep him off his feet at the end of this season so we'd have the chance to bring OUR winner home. Not happening now. We're stuck with CNB and some very lucky school will take CSC away from us forever. Most likely a Sun Belt school and he'll kick our butts year after year after year. So sad. CSC is a winner....period. Nat championship as a player and two as a HC. 20+ years as a HC and ZERO losing seasons and currently #6 ranked in FCS. We will face him one day and will see what we missed

I'm beyond furious. We lost to an inferior team at home. We gifted South 9 points on turnovers. Silvers looked scared. Offensive calling was clueless. It's going to be a long season.

I'm beyond furious. We lost to an inferior team at home. We gifted South 9 points on turnovers. Silvers looked scared. Offensive calling was clueless. It's going to be a long season. We have issues the main one being CNB has officially shown he can't get a team to handle success or focus when it counts. We chocked last year after we were ranked and against Ga Southern with the Sun Belt title on the line. We almost blew a big lead against LSU and let's look at the other games...Boise we barely had 200 yds of offense, gave up a punt return for a TD and gave up 40+ per KO return....AL ST, barely score 36 against a lousy SWAC team who lost to Tuskegee the week before....NMSU, win by 3....Akron, score with a min to go to win by 3 against a average at best MAC team....USA, no preparation (except VK and the defense), worst play calling I've ever seen, qb play was horrid, kicker can't make a 30 yd FG twice and wasn't even close, punt returner fumbles and fields a punt on the 1 yard line (who is coaching this), offensive line got manhandled and showed no fire or aggressiveness, recievers are sloiw, can't beat man coverage and catch a cold. This was the worst, most embarrasing performance in the history of our program. I like NB personally but he has some serious issues as a HC that will keep us dealing with this one step forward, two steps back. We have underperformed all season (except LSU but they have struggled all year also), we very well could be 1-5 right now. There is no excuse except coaching for this dismal offense with all our skill positions back including a four year starter at qb and rb. Not expecting much except disappointment and underperformance rest of the season. I saw a offense that quit last night...period. Kudos to VK and the defensive staff for showing up every game with zero help from the HC calling the plays and the offensive staff. Congrats for embarassing this team, former players, alumni and fans on Nat TV. Go do some more sports shows bragging about how great you are and give the players more days off after a big win so they can read their press clippings. Pathetic

Worst play calling of Neal's career...an 11 year old with an old copy of Madden could call a better game. Silvers.....wow.....Silvers, looked like he had never stepped foot on the field or he was trying to settle a gambling debt and toss the game....did you see the pass he threw at the defensive linemans legs....When he is on he is very good but when he is off, man he is off so give Barker a try, if he is the future let us see what he can do....Defense fought hard and tough, they are the bright spot on this team....SPECIAL TEAMS SUCKS!!! Is man bun the kicker on scholarship? If so and thats the best we have we are in trouble, cant connect on a 27 and 30 yard field goal...WTH, give Underwood another shot, go get a girl from the soccer team....but man, our special teams play is not D1.
We blew it big time last year, and again last night, instead of being known as the team that beat LSU, this team will be known as the fluke that beat LSU and didnt have a plan against one of the worst teams in college football...Disgrace and embarrassing. REGROUP AND WIN OUT!!! GO TROY!!

What did NB have to say after the game? The biggest loss of his tenure. They were the hungrier team. We were out played and out coached. This game was on him and the staff for not having the team prepared. There is a lot of football left and we have to focus on winning the next game. He was very disappointed in the effort and results. Turnovers and 1 for 4 in the red zone were too much to overcome. 30 yards total rushing, unacceptable. The above is a mixture of direct quotes and paraphrase for brevity sake, but that sums up his post game radio interview. We got out EVERYTHINGED!

We have quality back ups look at anderson is it a sin for him run more that 3 times a game? Dude can help carry the load. He spent so much time force feeding them for stats and nfl scouts he forgets to actually coach.

Troy Head Coach Neal Brown "We're 4-2. We're really not where we should be. The truth of the matter is we've played six games and we've played really bad in two of them, really good in one of them and really average in the other three. That's where we're at. This football team is not playing as good as it needs to. Period."
This team is not being coached as good as it should be. Period. 13-0 talent based on our schedule currently stands 4-2 due to 0-13 coaching. Our student athletes as a team are outstanding. They’re being coached as a team of two and the remainder a necessary evil. How about it, Neal Brown? Give the “TEAM” a chance? Wishful thinking. You’ll simply continue walking the sideline loving yourself more and more everyday. We need a HC who loves the TROY TROJANS!!! THE ENTIRE FAMILY!!! YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER!

Why does anyone want Neal Brown fired? Took us to our first 10-win season and Top 25 ranking last season, and we're still 4-2 with a win over LSU this season. Yeah, this loss sucked bad, but Brown is still a good coach that surrounds himself with other good coaches. This team could still finish 11-2 with a Top 25 ranking (although they'd have to win everything, including a bowl, to get ranked).
In the post-game press conference, it sounds like Neal Brown may be making some personnel changes this week. That may include some players losing their spots as starters. One thing is for sure, he's not very happy.

I agree but he will never do that he's invested way too much in silvers and chunn. Force feeding their stats!! Mentioning their names in EVERY interview gettting their numbers up instead of actually winning games. Browns ego is way big who is gonna ask him the tough questions??? All of the media that are in the post game conference are part of Troy or the local news nobody will hold him accountable.

So Troy circles the LSU game on the calendar as a must-win but why? Troy will never win the national championship. But Troy can't get motivated to beat your rival in a conference game on a national stage, which is the only Championship you're going to win? I'm a little bit confused right now? Troy gets all the hype the week leading up to the Rivalry game. Lots of people looking at them to see if they are a legit team and they play absolutely horrible! I'm a little bit embarrassed to be a Troy alum right now. "Hey it's game day watch on ESPN2 tonight." I turn people on to it and we get embarrassed. #onetroy. I still love my Trojans but it sure was hard coming to work to day after all the hype my office gave us after the LSU game.

This is what happens when you have nfl scouts in the stands and you try to showcase your rb and qb and not try to win the game. You have other weapons!!! Get creative nb!!! Thank you labull05! Dead nuts on! I would have to concur myself. Quit force feeding certain players just to make them look good or get club records even when they're having a bad night. There are other players on depth roster who could make a difference. Coaching is about putting the best players on the field for a chance to win the game. When someone is having a bad night, call the next man up.

Who said they wanted Neal fired? To call him out on calling crappy plays and lack of a game plan and failing to make corrections especially at halftime is not a bad thing...it means people care about this program. He needs to be willing to adapt and substitute players when they are having bad games and adapt his plays and planning......he has not done this. Several on here, myself included have been fans a long, long time. My Father is an alumnus and two sisters, cousins and I are all TROY graduates. I have been following TROY football since the late 70's and we have had big ups and epic fails. I thought we had finally turned the page but we are not there yet. I am all in for TROY and always have been and always will be.

I just turned on the replay. Wife just yelled at me... "Why are you doing that to yourself?" As painful as it sometimes is, watching the replay can help to exorcise demons and change one's opinion of game events/player performances. Here are two examples from last night's game. I came away really upset at how many passes were over thrown and completely dumbfounded that Silvers would hit a D lineman in the shins with a pass. As I watched the replay, I saw that while some passes were overthrown, several more could and should have been caught, even though they were a bit high. That realization didn't change my opinion of the game, but it softened my criticism of Silvers a bit. As to the pass in the shins, replay showed that to be a wide receiver screen that the DE read and busted. He stopped dead still on a direct line between Silvers and the receiver, Silvers had 3 options: 1) Tuck and run - would likely have resulted in lost yardage 2) Throw it away out of bounds - viable option but there is a risk of the pass being tipped and picked for 6 on the sideline 3) Fire it at the feet of the DE - again a viable option with little risk. That DE wasn't going to react in time to pick that rifle shot of his shoe tops. Silvers chose option 3, no harm no foul, therefore my thoughts went from wondering what in the world was Silvers doing to recognizing that he saw the defense had blown up the play and took action to that allowed him to live to fight another day. Tell your wife that, in the end, rewatching the game will be cathartic.

Silvers has been throwing high all season. CR started doing that also. Usually mechanics cause this like throwing off back foot. I've not been impressed with our qb coaching since (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of) left. CR throwing mechanics were God awful (sidearm). There were several passes Silvers threw that did hit the recievers in the hands but 90% were way high and those are tough to bring down sometimes. He's got to get some of those throws down to make them more catchable. He is also over throwing a lot of open recievers. He has the size and arm, it's just a matter of mechanics and confidence
