If there's one thing you can say about Neal Brown, you can say he calls it spot on and takes the responsibility square on his shoulders.

Heartbreaking ... but how this season turns out depends on how they react from now on. Improve dramatically (really just not turn the ball over) ... and we still have chance to win conference, etc. So, now we'll see what kind of coach NB is ... and the character of the team. I'm embarrassed ... but I also feel really bad for the kids on the team. They haven't learned to win yet ... and haven't learned to deal with success/expectations. But, we can start ... beginning at GA St. Sad tonight ... but Go trojans! Oh .. and maybe we can have a student body Kicker tryout this week! This is when we need a mens soccer team at Troy! #99 was a 2* recruit we signed. There isn't a chick on the soccer team that could kick worse than that kid. He wasn't even close on two 30 yd field goal tries.

This game was embarrassing nationally for our school and program. This hurt so bad for us taking the “big” step forward onto the national scene. It could take YEARS for us to get back to the point we were in the national scene after the LSU game. This program looks like freakin backwater idiots now after this loss. Someone on this thread mentioned this is our worst loss ever. That is accurate. At least the #ranktroy idiots will officially look as stupid and pathetic as we saw them as. This hurt. So embarrassing.
How this offense is so bad with so much firepower is amazing. CNB looks like a snake water salesman after ranting that Troy is a historical power and how our QB and RB our SEC talent and future Pros and we can’t even score against South at home !! Zero doubt we focused on the post-LSU ESPN interviews and not on game planning. This sucks. Embarrassing.

It was last year's Arkansas State game all over again. The players and coaches looked like they were taking a test they didn't study for. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong.
I believe the program is still growing, and growing pains are part of that process. We all want to see progress immediately, but we're just not there yet. We're embarrassed and we're angry, but look at where we've come from in the last decade. If you're going to be a Troy fan, you're going to have to have patience. There are very few college coaches who have been able to manage success consistently, and unfortunately they're all well out of our price range.
Also, lay off Legassey. This loss was a team effort.

Thank God we have VK. With this awful offense if we had Rowell or Bolt we would be 1-5 or 0-6

Patience and not preparing a team are not the same thing Patience is putting up with what you have. If you want a coach that's going to have the team on the top of their game every week, you're going to have to write a pretty big check. CNB simply isn't very good at sustaining success. Anyone who watched him at Texas Tech and Kentucky should have known that when he was hired. If you want him gone, remember that we were winning conference championships not too long ago in a half-empty stadium with little to no student interest.

We offically have the worst kicker in college football and that includes D2 and D3 Let’s be fair, the kicker has serious issues that we can’t afford but we couldn’t block my grandmother on the offensive line, we couldn’t catch a cold if it hit us in the face, we could fumble an octopus so it wasn’t any one player. The defense was sufficient to win but we had an offense to score ZERO points in 3 quarters on a 1-4 team. I mean we didn’t even scare the endzone for 45 minutes. We had a National TV audience and our offense decided to stay home to watch. I’m through, I’m still in a state of denial, had to be a bad dream......but we beat LSU! Tomorrow the sun will rise, we will breath in fresh free air...yes, there is still things to look forward to!😢😕😟😔

There are high school coaches, D3 coaches like Larry Kehres at Mount Union, D2 and FCS coaches that get their teams to perform week in and out and they make far, far less than the $750,000 NB makes. Money doesnt make that happen, it means they might move on to more money if they are capable of winning consistently Just High School, D3, D2, and FCS? It didn't look like it tonight, but last time I checked, we were playing D1 FBS.

What did NB have to say after the game? The biggest loss of his tenure. They were the hungrier team. We were out played and out coached. This game was on him and the staff for not having the team prepared. There is a lot of football left and we have to focus on winning the next game. He was very disappointed in the effort and results. Turnovers and 1 for 4 in the red zone were too much to overcome. 30 yards total rushing, unacceptable. The above is a mixture of direct quotes and paraphrase for brevity sake, but that sums up his post game radio interview.

In his post game conference he said he thought this team has only played well in one game this season. That they need to evaluate who is playing and make changes. He also needs to look at his staff. CNB there is a reason your offense is struggling, you have high school level offensive assistants. Yep, you are right, changes need to be made.

Depressing. Embarrassing. Again, Defense did what they needed to do ... holding them to one touchdown in 1st half despite giving them 3 turnovers. They can't do it all. We lack leadership ... especially on the offense. End of the day ... it will be one conference loss. There's still lots of season left ... we'll see if this team has any character ... and we'll see what kind of coach NB is. NB is our version of what Mark Richt was for Georgia. He is a good guy, well liked, will win a lot of games, but will lose 1 or 2 games a year that he shouldn't lose. Im not sure why, but we can't handle success. Sometimes it is easier to push your players to play above their heads when they are David facing Goliath. But when you are the one with the bullseye on you chest and everyone is looking to take you down (which beating LSU and being a Sunbelt "favorite" did for us), it is sometimes hard to match the focus, intensity, and preparation of your opponent. It is obvious that we were outcoached and outplayed tonight by USA, much like we did to LSU. It proves the point that not only do you have to have the Jimmy's and Joe's, but also the X's and O's, and the heart and passion to get "up" for every opponent on your schedule. Much like Saban ranted to press/media that the hype was like "rat Poison" for his team, we suffered from the same kind of thing, because we bought in to the media hype over the last 10 days and thought we would go 11-1 and be in a New Year's Day bowl. All the while USA was putting in the hard work to take us down. In 6 games this year we have not played a single "exceptional" game. We have played one "good' game against LSU and 5 "sub-par" games in the others. We could easily be 2-4 or 1-5 instead of 4-2. That should be a reality check for this team and coaching staff to try to turn the level of play up for the second half of the season. We could and should be able to run the table and finish 10-2, but if we have more performances like tonight, then 8-4 or 7-5 is a real possibility. Rant is over, good night and Go TROY! I still love my school, my team, my players, and my coaching staff. Just disappointed in the preparation, play, and lack of passion tonight. Just remember even in a loss it is better to be a TROY Trojan than a USA Jaguar.

The only highlight of the evening was the Sound of the south pregame and halftime. And I guess it was also nice just to be on campus for a few hours again. Hopefully CNB can turn around our wreck of an Offense.

The only highlight of the evening was the Sound of the south pregame and halftime. And I guess it was also nice just to be on campus for a few hours again. Hopefully CNB can turn around our wreck of an Offense. CNB stands in the way of a very special group of student athletes being 6-0 to date, 13-0 end of season. Talent that could have competed for the one slot in a New Year's Day bowl. He does not utilize all the talent. I believe Brandon Silvers is an excellent quarterback. I'm proud of him. But excellent quarterbacks, just like all of us, have bad days. His this year have been Boise and tonight. CNB will ignore the team to live and die by him. I don't believe Brandon or any of our other student athletes would expect this. CNB is not now nor ever will be a Trojan. He's all about himself. Smiling and sucking up the praise on multiple national sports shows last week. Even arrogant when asked if the same would happen next game like it did after being ranked 25th last year. "We got that handled. We learned from that". I had hoped some program paying more money would come along and sweep him off his feet at the end of this season so we'd have the chance to bring OUR winner home. Not happening now. We're stuck with CNB and some very lucky school will take CSC away from us forever. Most likely a Sun Belt school and he'll kick our butts year after year after year. So sad.

And just a few days ago everyone was wondering which P5 school was going to hire him away. Hmmmmm It wasn't me. I was just thrilled the defense saved him from blowing a 24-7 lead with the game in the bag. LSU was panicking and dying quickly. Had to do his little "dinky" kickoff and let them back in. Kick it out of the end zone like we had all night and it most likely ends 31-7.

NB has to prove he can get a team to focus after big wins and sucess. Until he does he isn't going anywhere and neither is Troy I agree but he's nowhere near being fired. Sadly true. We have a precedent that should safely keep him at Troy thru 2029.
