While I understand we only have 3 Saturday Home games, but yesterday's Veterans Tribute let me down. I LOVED the flag and fly over, but not being able to walk on the field with my U.S. Air Force Mates, along with sister services representing, was disappointing.
I always look forward to this day/game. Gathering with everyone in the end zone, walking in front of the crowd is always a highlight for me (and several others) and wish we could have represented.
Was unable to THANK those for their service and, for a few moments, reminiscing with others, those times we spent serving our country. So, I will say it here, "THANK YOU to all that have served and protected this GREAT COUNTRY in the past, present and future"!

I believe I saw something wrote about the number of active duty members in attendance was down from previous years. I hope not. I was always proud to see our service men and women in attendance and with all this negative trend towards our flag etc I have always been proud that Troy honors our military

I was at the game and the IMMEDIATE noticeable absence of our traditional large numbers of active and reserve military caused me to think it is much more than what was seen yesterday. I was concerned regarding what level of readiness we were at and if something had changed due to world events of the week. When I realized that the majority of uniformed individuals in the stadium were OTC at the Air University, it only increased my concern! I thought the University did a nice job covering the absence of our traditional large numbers by switching the normal production from half time to a couple of media timeouts.
PRAYING and HOPING I came to the wrong conclusion about military attendance numbers yesterday!!!!

Since the NCAA has put new regulations on Halftime for the bands it's probably safe to say that we will not have that big of a production again unless NCAA changes it. Athletics also combine Veterans Day and Band Day together, which I didn't like

Athletics also combine Veterans Day and Band Day together, which I didn't like Do band day at our FCS game. That is recruiting and it's a sure win. Us former players would be happy to have our reunion at homecoming. Isn't that what homecoming is supposed to be?

Let me rephrase that, we cannot do the old military appreciation day. There isn't enough time. The show has to be 6 minutes or less

Why in the world would the NCAA care what goes on at halftime? What's a school supposed to do the other 14 minutes?
