I know this has nothing to do with TROY football. It doesn't even pertain to college football, but I thought some of you might find it interesting. I read yesterday that the price for parking at the LA Chargers game yesterday was $100. You read that right, one HUNNERT dollars to park your wheels to see the CHARGERS play. Like I said, there ain't no way....

Another reason so many NFL stadiums are sparsely populated at game time.

I paid $50 to park next to the dome to watch the Saints and that made me sick.

I contemplate that the future of most Pro Athletic organizations will look far different from the past.
The demand just cannot keep up/sustain the increase in costs; less participants in the fan pool as costs go up. Health, legal and liability issues will increase as a % of revenues. Seems gambling interests are keeping some athletic leagues afloat, if for no other reason. Limited pool of sponsors/potential sponsors who can pony up the millions of $$$ necessary to support the organizations, another whopper of a recession could further reduce the supply. Commercialization/Unions have turned off fans who look to college sports or other activities to satisfy the appetite for athletic events.
I hate it.
IE: as a family we were huge Falcons fans till the strike in the 1980's. Haven't watched a regular season game of ANY NFL team since, and occasionally watch a super bowl 2) We were huge Braves fans until the strike. The video of Glavine et al walking out turned my stomach, Haven't even watched a World Series since.
greed (owners, players, unions, parking lot vendors has killed the sport) all at the expense of fans.

Went to Green Bay after our Wisconsin game and parking was $20 next to stadium and $10 for about 100 yards away. Plus plenty of free spaces all around the stadium
I also don't watch much pro sports anymore. First the strikes and now all the protests.
