Hemi, I'm not sure I understand your anguish here. Where did anyone say they knew more than Neal? Is there any chance you might be assuming they think they do simply because they chose to have a difference of opinion? Neal is an outstanding coach and our players have outstanding POTENTIAL. If fans can't banner around ideas, opinions (done RESPECTFULLY), observations or do a little Sunday morning quarterbacking on sites like this one after a loss as well as a win then the site is worthless! I agree that calling for firings, getting personal in a derogatory way is improper and is pushing the limits of the site intentions but to revisit and re-evaluate games and hear each fans thought on such is the heart and soul of these type places. If some take that as improper use of the site then maybe THEY need to not visit the site. As a former player and coach I realized that that came with the territory. If you accept the accolades that goes with winning and playing well then be prepared to take the RESPECTFUL observations of the points of failure from fans that goes with losing! I agree, some go well beyond reasonable when offering their thoughts and it's usually VERY FEW and it's usually people that never played one snap, shot one shot or fielded one grounder in their lives but you try to ignore those types. I just want to read honest, RESPECTFUL and well thought out analysis when I visit here, both good and bad. I'm not interested in hearing from those that want firings or personalize unending critics of anyone associated with the team or university but they will always be there if only few in numbers. I'm through! Go Trojans! I concur 100%. Hemi and I are buds and I get where he is coming from but to analyze and share opinions is what this place is all about. Its simply discussion most of the time. We all want the same thing. I know for a fact that Neal is a better coach than me but even if we would have squeezed out a W Saturday somehow I would be here with the same opinions. Hell, talking with yall is more fun than the actual game to me. See yall Saturday unless DT is evacuating.

To me, as long as it's kept respectful in all areas, I really enjoy hearing others thoughts both pro and con on games play and strategy. Hey, life has hiccups in it, not admitting that doesn't make it not be there. Again, to me it's about the HOW you say what you say! Neal was as frank and expressive as any of us were I thought and I loved his honesty!!! I trust his call, even the one pulling Brandon for a short spell. Having coached, I realize that a few minutes in the sideline can get a great player back in stride. I see him as the leader of the entire tea. ESPECIALLY the offense. I want yo see him take charge on the field. I'm sure the players look up to him. He can get them going in ways other than completing throws. I thought they needed dime good ol' verbal "butt kicking" Saturday and it's MY OPINION that he's the logical one to do it!

Keyboard coaches and AD's are always vocal following a loss. It's the nature of the beast. I'm sure the traffic on most team's message boards spike after a loss. People need to vent and sometimes feel the need to be heard. Anyone that seriously thinks they no more about what's right for this team, whether it be player, staff, playcalling, or any other aspect of the program is just plain delusional. Its Neal's career and livelihood, that he uses to provide for his family, at stake. I'm very confident that he's made every decision to this point in hopes of winning as many games as possible. Hemi, I'm not sure I understand your anguish here. Where did anyone say they knew more than Neal? I'm through! Go Trojans! No anquish here. I find it laughable that people who were spewing the praises of this staff and players are now, after one game what to bench players and run off the leftovers from the previous staff. Those same leftovers that were in place for the 10-3 season. There's no doubt they played terrible, but they were two plays away from winning that game. Second guess all you want. We played poorly last year vs Georgia St, but won. We played very well against Clemson and lost. Which do you prefer?

We all need to be patient and good things will come. We have some of the best coaching at the D-1 level and our players can stand with anyone. I am looking forward to what the rest of the season brings and I still see a Sun Belt Championship come back home. Proud of both the coaching staff and our players!

No disagreement here. It's just one game. The staff is one of the best we've EVER had so that's is no brainer. I too get tired of all the "fire them" talk, that's others responsibility to determine who and when. I think we all had such high expectations for this group to play as they played was a shock AND disappointment!👍🏼

The good news in the loss to Boise is that more then likely CNB will be the Troy coach next year...I think Troy is going to have to win against teams like Boise along with be conference champs ( still doable) for CNB to get a shot at being a head coach at a power 5 conference team...jmo

Especially the guy sitting behind us at the game.

Point of order...we were an 11 point dog and lost by 11! And still had a shot to win the game late. I agree that we played very rusty on offense/special teams and I also have 💯 percent faith that they will get things going over the next couple of games. Everybody just stay cool...

Anyways, If CNB can deliver a win over Boise St next year, I am ok with it... but sooner than later we need a few marquee wins...

It gets frustrating when you see Liberty beat Baylor and James Madison beat East Carolina. Probably not as good as Boise but still excites the fan base and recruiting. We have four marquee wins but only one on the road and none since 2007. We are due at some point

Yes, we are due but we only have one more shot this year, Sept 30th in Baton Rouge.
