Figured I'd go ahead and start a thread. How's everyone feel about this game? I'll post my thoughts a little later tonight and I'll have some more insight tomorrow when the depth chart comes out. Lets get some Boise talk going.

High temperature and high elevation will be our biggest problem. If we manage our rotations well then we come back with a W. We have to avoid exhaustion.

I will be traveling to Boise to see the Troy Trojans beat them by 6 points or better. With our defense revamped and the spark is bigger and better from last year we should stop the run and not allow them throw for yardage.Calloway and Zo Bridges will bring all kinds of pressure from the edge and Sanders and Poole will holding down the front. With the LB's holding down middle and our Corners and Safety being on lockdown mode The Trojans Nation should see them get frustrated on their on blue field. Now that our defense has do their part our offense will wear down their defense. Silvers will throw for 300 yards are better and Chunn will have one of his best games, seeing him having a 100 year game or better. The offensive line will do as good as last year protecting Silvers and opening up holes for the rotation of backs. With the stable of receivers we should have our way with their backs and LB's.Coach Brown and his coaching staff will have them prepared, so Boise if you are on this message board be prepared to cry the blues on your blue field.
"JUST MY TAKE ON THINGS" Again we win by 6

TMTDM, or if you prefer, The Dogs of War, have spent camp working in 95 degree temps with much higher humidity than they'll experience in Boise. I don't see that being any more a challenge for us than for them. The altitude, however, is a different story. If you've ever spent time at that altitude, you know this to be the case. I was in Beaver Creek, CO years ago for a wedding and I got winded just walking around. Granted there wasn't a lot of flat ground to walk on, but it's not as if I was climbing a hill. Our guys may struggle in the thin air and I don't know if that can be trained for. I think the big unknown is what effect that atrocious blue turf will have. I honestly don't see how it will not be somewhat of a distraction. The TROJANS will have to concentrate on execution and not on the playing surface. I, for one, will struggle with that as I watch this game. In the end, I think we win. I think one more year of CNB's program will have our guys playing disciplined ball and executing assignments properly.
We need to go into Boise and wreak havoc. With that in mind let's all cry
HAVOC!

Our dry heat is nothing compared to your miserable humid weather. You guys will be fine with our temps.
Elevation is around 2000 feet higher than what you are used to, it may take slight toll on your guys in the 4th quarter.
Also, smoke in the air from Wa and OR wildfires, you might notice that and it takes a toll on our guys too.
But what will really screw with your teams head is the noise. I know what you are thinking. Our stadium only holds 37,000 people. Right?
Oregon's stadium is known to be one of the loudest, and after their loss in Boise their coaches were talking about not even being able to hear ea other thru the headsets. Many teams visit and say its the loudest they have ever heard. We get kinda crazy loud, yes. But additionally, the way our stadium is shaped, the way the stands are shaped, all the noise just bounces right straight on to the field.
This will be a much better game than many of our fans in Boise realize. You guys are mega dangerous and you have some proven talent that scares me. But we finally have some good WR's for our QB to throw to, some good downfield threats as well and a revamped defense that I consider to be a serious upgrade over last years D.
Have fun to those who are coming. The Stadium is right next to downtown, and out entire city is actually really safe and clean. A mountain river runs right thru it. Take an Uber to and walk around 8th street the night before and after the game. Great food, great beer and shots, lots of hot women walking around.
You will find our tailgate to rank right up there with anybody's before the game. Our fans are really freindly, and we all can cook and BBQ. You come walking thru with your jerseys on and I promise everyone will invite you over to their tailgate with open arms, full beers and plates of food that will fill your stomachs and souls. We have made so many friends with visiting fans over the years, it's a celebration of friends, football and great food.
It'll take the sting off your close loss in Boise.

DT thinks that it will take a big play like the 4th down call at Clemson but we win. Going to be a good on.

Las Cruces, Boone and Moscow are all higher elevation than Boise. We have plenty of experience playing in altitude.

I love lurking on the opponent message boards. There was a thread about lacking ticket sales and the best comment was something like... nobody wants to see us beat a sunbelt team. I get the feeling that they think we are a warmup. I think they are going to witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational TMTDM.

The statement was this: "Well, its not rocket science imho. A ticket anywhere between the end zones is $79. The upper deck curves and south end zone are $59. There just aren't 30,000+ people willing to pay those prices to see a Sun Belt opponent.shrug" I was kind of surprised as well when seeing those tickets prices. Those are high!

The heat and elevation will have no to little effect on your guys, trust me. We're only at 2700 ft here. You need to get to at least 4-5000 before you start feeling any effects. Try playing at Wyoming or Air Force (7200' and 6600') every year. THAT will tire you out. It'll get unusually hot (98), but it's dry and I'm sure your guys have been practicing in hot, humid weather this summer. People here don't know who Troy is, don't take offense. Those who follow CFB know, but a casual fan in this State doesn't know the difference between any Sun Belt team not named "Idaho". And the fact that they are in your league drags it waaaay down in their mind. The team knows who you are, believe me. Beat us and the fans will sure take notice I, for one, am glad we actually have a challenge to open up with, and I'm sure as hell glad this game is at home. Here's to a good game 04-cheers

The MOST EXPENSIVE ticket I've ever bought for an away game. Big 12 is $75 and Big 10 was $60, SEC is $40 and ACC is $45. Not sure why Mt West is $79, ridiculous if you ask me. BUT IM GOING!!!
