I certainly hope not!!! However...I can only wonder with Tom Herman likely heading to LSU or Texas who would replace him?? I have to think that Neal Brown would be on that short list based on his success and time in Texas. I would think that Major Applewhite would be the front runner but you never know when these things roll around!! Oh...and don't even say that if Houston offered that he wouldn't go! It's probably the best G5 job out there and it's about a 2.3 million dollar raise! Again...I pray that this doesn't happen but it certainly is a real possibility!!

Fritz would get the call before Neal IMO. He spent years at Sam Houston State.

Head Coach Levi Brown: No Fritz: No Applebutter: More likely Herman: May stay. Houston is a P5 school stuck in the G5 pool. It's endowment is $700+ million which is equal to LSUA&MC ($100 million more than Bammer or Barn) and they have other resources to maybe keep him. Although, Texas is the Jupiter of public schools. They have an endowment of over $3 billion, their own TV network and alumni resources second to none. Bammer fan might not admit it, but I would be more worried about Nick Saban leaving for Austin than Brown leaving for Houston.

If Saban took the Texas job he needs a CT Scan because he's lost his mind.

Im more concerned about Texas Tech getting rid of their coach after this year. That would concern me.

Lets enjoy the ride....Its to be expected....A good young coach will get offers but I think we have at least one more season with Coach Brown. More money and better conference....

I could be wrong but I don't know if Neal is on too many team's list of candidates. He was 4-8 last year and currently 8-2. That's 12-10 over 2 years. I don't think a record like that gets him offers yet. I feel pretty strong that he stays a troy at least 1 more year. He's done a great job motivating the team and turning things around and that will get him noticed. I'm just happy to have him now as we are ahead of schedule of rebuilding the wall. Go Troy. Beat Texas state!

I think Houston goes after someone more proven. 1 good season at a SBC school probably isn't enough.
