I'll be making the trek from western NC to Troy in a couple of weeks and would appreciate some info on gameday at your fine university. I know parking is one of the biggest issues in Boone. What's the parking situation for non-boosters at Troy? Do places like First Presbyterian have pay parking?
What restaurants are your favorites?
What fan traditions make Troy gamedays unique?
Thanks for the help.

Plenty of free parking around for a little walk, or places right by the stadium have $10 parking.

Thanks for the help. The earlier you arrive the better off you with parking. Get up early and go to Dolce for breakfast. Fresh made croissants until they run out. You will be very happy. Our tailgate for your lunch and drinks. Sips on the square for supper. Sunday get up and go to Sisters for lunch! Charles Henderson High has parking for $10. Very close to your seats and our tailgate. Parking early for around that price right off of Highland Ave.

Thanks for the help. Also just tried a new place called Prestons. It was really good. It was across 231 from Wal-Mart. There is also normally plenty of free parking on campus across campus from stadium. It's a very short walk if you don't want to have to worry about paying.

Thanks, guys. Paying for parking is no big deal. $10 is a bargain, too. We paid $40 at UT, $50 at Michigan, Boone standard is $20. If the extra dollars go to help the high school, I'll plan on parking there. Any walk should be fairly easy as far as terrain goes. We laughingly say that folks in Boone can say with sincerity that they've "walked uphill both ways". I'll be in Troy Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday, so I'll have chance to try several of the restaurants. Hemi Man, I'll take you up on that tailgate, too. Y'all have fun next week. We'll see you on the 12th (for the conference championship? ).

Crowes Chicken oh Highway 231 and the ABC store are the only two places you need to be concerned with and maybe the Front Porch for some late night fun. Enjoy.

There's nothing in Troy that will phase you when it comes to walking. I will DM you some details during game week!
