Before everyone jumps to conclusions it might have to do with someone using that name in an expletive last week. I'm not sure of that, just a thought on my part. Not a problem, just explain and fix it or state the PC propose. Easy solution but I do agree they deserve an opportunity to do one or the other.

You are correct sir...and the system has been updated. Merry Christmas!!! THANK YOU!!!!! Maybe a short explanation as to what happens to make that occur so it might be avoided next time could help!

EASY everyone, trouble shot the issue, determined the cause, corrected the problem. No reason to go in any other direction, it is a "football" message board. That is all!

Fixed now, get your panties out of a wad Incredible, a persons faith is important and it's constantly under attack these days. I never cease to be amazed at the disrespect by an occasional fellow Troy fans toward things that are very personal to some on this board and now it's someone's faith (mine I suppose) and the constant political bashing of it. Why not just respect the opinions? If your reference was to me, if it takes "my pantries being in a wad" to stand FIRMLY on what I REFUSE to condone in my faith then be as childishly sarcastic as it takes to make you feel good. I made my point clear and the issue was dealt with properly so why not show respect for both? God bless!

It was said in jest because it's just a name/word. Yes, it's a great name, there's no denying that, but there was absolutely no reason at all for everyone to get upset over a word being censored, good reason or not. I'm sorry you and others felt attacked when there clearly wasn't any

I'm sorry you and others felt attacked when there clearly wasn't any I take my faith VERY seriously and respect everyone else's, or their lack thereof. I accept the administrators explanation and am satisfied but THERE IS reason to get upset for A WORD being censored when that word is the basis of ones faith and countries foundation and when it is under attack politically daily. I have thick skin and consider myself reasonable but some things are off limits or deserve explanation. The above comment posted by someone and offered as explanation by the administrator, was REPULSIVE and would have been simple to understand what occurred if explained but why not block that poster rather than the word? I'm through!

I feel like our best option is to accept the Dollar General Bowl in Mobile or the Camellia Bowl in Montgomery. While it may not seem ideal compared to New Orleans it could do wonders for this season. We want to be ranked but I fear we may not because so far our only claim to fame this season is playing Clemson close. Of all the teams we've played only Clemson and Southern Miss still have winning records. So it's not that impressive we've beaten teams like Austin Peay and New Mexico State. If we want respect we have to beat the biggest dog we can play. That would be Western Michigan. Both the bowls I have mentioned have tie ins with the MAC. I say we see where the Broncos are going then we accept that bowl bid. It will also work out better for us in terms of ticket sales considering both locations we are all but guaranteed to have massive fan support. We've already proven we can get 1,000 students to Mobile. Why? Because it's a short drive and cheap for fans to attend. We want to make a good impression nationally and have a large crowd there to see us play a ranked team would do it. December 23 might hinder a lot people from making the trip to Mobile. Just a thought. You may be right. I still think it's easier to ask the Trojan faithful to make a day trip to Mobile or Montgomery in late December then asking folks to book plane and hotel accommodations to New Orleans or Orlando just days before Christmas. That aside I think to get respect nationally we have to beat one of these red hot MAC teams. I hope it's Western Michigan because they are already ranked and the only difference between us and them is they beat their one big opponent (Northwestern) but it not them I believe Toledo would also be a good match up.

I'll be there. No matter the day or place! However, I do hope it provides our fans another opportunity to travel to a place to enjoy the experience.

I could make a day trip, probably anyway. I want to go no matter where we go bowling, but with a 5 month old baby it's difficult

The majority of people aren't going to fly to New Orleans or Orlando that live in the Troy area. I'm pretty sure airiline tickets will be pricey at that time of year. Orlando is only about 75 miles further than New Orleans. The majority of people are probably going to want to spend a day or two soaking up bowl festivities. It's been a while. It's too early to be overly concerned with opponents right now. A lot can happen and change in the next two months. I'm fine with either of those four destinations.

anyway, what ya think hotel prices would be like in mobile close to christmas? The same as they are the rest of the year, Mobile is not a big Christmas destination. I personally want us to go to New Orleans........... for the Sugar Bowl!!!!

With me living in Tampa, I selfishly want them to play in Orlando. Easy trip for me, and I love the Citrus Bowl.

I'll honestly be selfish and will say i would love to celebrate my graduation with you all in Montgomery since it's closer the center of alabama. I have been at Troy since 2010, but did not really get into TRoy football til 2011 and have been a loyal fan ever since. I'd finally like to experience a bowl game
