We might receive at least some votes this week, not sure though.
I just realized that even if we manage to win out, we might not get ranked at all. We would receive some votes, but I think almost any 9 -1, 10 -1 or 11 -1 team should be ranked. Winning a bowl game vs a decent opponent might get us ranked though. I don't think voters would overlook a 12 -1 team with a bowl win.
Being ranked late in the seaon would be a quantum leap forward for our program, generate some national attention and help recruiting for sure...

Over the years, we've received votes here and there. '04, '09...but, the combination of this staff, player...this could be the perfect storm brewing. Time will tell, but if any Troy team could crack the top 25, I think we may be witness that process in action.

If Southern miss continues to dominate as they did last night and win cusa our odds of being ranked go up are high If we go 11-1.

The coaches are locked in. Many hurdles to jump moving forward but 11-1 regular season is completely within the grasp of this unit. Add to that the youth of this team and the fact we are playing short of the scholarship numbers and the outlook just gets better.

This is not the best Troy team ever (the 2007 and 2009 teams were pretty good) but the schedule is much more favorable and this is probably overall the best coaching staff in Troy 1A history. In the past when were 6-2 or 7-2 and even receiving some votes, we had to play Georgia or LSU but this year we will play UMass at home... Being ranked late in the season and winning a bowl game would do more for this program than winning 5 straight SBC titles. If this happens, we might steal some pretty solid prospects who would otherwise consider teams such as UCF, Iowa, Indiana or some other average Big10 program. It would also help winning recruiting battles vs UAB and USA.

It doesn't matter, short term, how Troy gets into the national conversation, as long as they're in the national conversation. 5 titles in a row got us into that conversation. That should not be lost in translation.

I know it's great to speculate but hopefully the guys stay hungry and never satisfied till it's over ...I just want to......drum roll ......cliche of all time ...please one game at a time Ok...one game at a time is good advise for team and coach. Is there something wrong with any football discussion on a football discussion board, at any particular time? As anal as some people are about 'one game at a time,' I'm just as strong in my sentiments that it doesn't have any bearing on what they do on the field. The outcome is not determined by how 'locked in' the message board is. Some of y'all need to give that a long, peaceful rest.

We all knew they picked the right guy. I believe he's more committed than some think he is, but what happens happens. Zero regrets about what he's been able to do for our team in a short amount of time. Regardless if he left today, Troy football would be left better than when he got it.

I admit I was on the Orgeron band wagon. CNB has turned out to be really great for Troy but I think Bae Bae would have been great as well.

HCNB and Vic were both in my top 4 and the fact we got both on the same staff has made a dream come true for me. We have the offensive and defensive masterminds to make TROY greater than ever.

Ed Orgeron was just named the Interim Head Coach at LSU tonight. I was 100% on the Orgeron bandwagon, he would have done a great job. Actually, my son made the wire for going up to the AD after a game and giving him a note that said call Ed Orgeron now! However, when they named Neal Brown I jumped on board and cannot say enough about what he is doing. I am totally behind the changes he has made and the direction he has this team going. A Great Hire, Signed, A Neal Brown Fan
