Great night for the Trojans in the first half. What I loved most though was the discipline on the flagrant foul. Two years ago that would have been a bench clearer. Bravo team. Proud of you! Go Trojans! Here's to a great second half! Cry Havoc! Go Trojans!

Two penalties for 26 yds, five interceptions, zero turnovers. That's how you win ball games.

That is also how you get one of the weirdest box scores with stats vs score I have ever seen

Defense against spread offenses are judged by possessions with a score. The only defensive stat that truly counts.

That is also how you get one of the weirdest box scores with stats vs score I have ever seen I agree. Told my wife and people around me that you won't see a team give up 500+ yards and only 6 points very often. A big win for sure and lots of positives to take away from tonight (5 INTs; great special teams play with punt block, touchbacks on kickoffs, kickoff return for TD; No turnovers; markedly decreased penalties; no major injuries; great crowd and participation; and of course getting to 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference). But we still have not played a complete game yet. Still let some receivers run free on deep routes; got pressure on their QB, but lost containment; and just too many yards given up. Our defense seemed to bend (a lot), but not break tonight. Offensively, we sputtered at times (I noticed CNB getting onto offensive players after some failed third down conversions). Great win, but plenty of things for CNB, staff, and players to improve upon as we move through conference play. We need to get better each week and hopefully be peaking in the second half of season when we will face App St and Georgia Southern in games that I think will determine the top 3 teams in the Sunbelt. Great night, good win. March on TROY! Cry HAVOC!

NMSU also has one of the best offenses in the SBC. Larry Rose was offensive player of the year last year. NMSU also put 42 points on Kentucky last week We are fine dude

The defense can only do so much. Anyone will give up a big play every few drives, but if no points are put up, Defense wins

I think our D was solid, esp. our D-Line. Special teams play was pretty good. Passing game still worries me though. There is still no rhythm to the passing game.

Coach Brown told us exactly what they were going to do. They have a very good offense. Our D did a fantastic job of bending but not breaking and forcing several turnovers.
Even after a 40+ point win we still have a lot to work on. Just think about how good we can be when we put it all together!

This is what excites me....the thought of how good this team can actually be.

Wow, I like the trend....from penalty U to the makings of a disciplined team. Just a couple of years ago, our guys were fighting each other and throwing helmets at each other against South Alabama. Keep it up team and NB!!
