Look who's number 4. He was okay but he wasn't on the same level as Chunn. Our backfield this year and in the future is awesome!

Next year you add J-time from Dale County the transfer from Memphis, The O-line is talented. Recruiting good talent there. Returning QB and all receivers. This years offense is good but next years on paper is going to be amazing.

Ito Smith is a slashing speedster. No comparison, apples to oranges, both good backs. I'm pissed that we didn't use our bruiser more, George Payne and damn glad that y'all didn't use that little dude Frye. As a football fan, that's what I wanted to see but the coaches didn't see it that way.

Troy coaches probably saw that your starting defensive line was 240-265-250-240 and decided the game plan should be to run our 230 and 250 pound bruisers down the middle behind a 310+ offensive line. We haven't seen the end of Frye for sure. He'll probably get a few outside runs against the Aggies.

Like his long TD run. The line and full back blocked great. The safety came up to tackle him and Chunn ran over him and then had enough speed to take it to the goal line. He got close and saw a guy with a good angle coming and made the conscious decision to slow down to miss the tackle and hurdle the guy for a TD. Southern Miss had a great defense. Had yall not closed the holes so fast you would have seen much more of his speed but he is gonna run through you. I personally wouldn't take anyone on that list over Chunn.

Next year is going to be epic if we keep this staff.

Smith and Chunn are both good. I bit my lip every time Smith got a little bit of open space to run. He was fast, agile, and made you miss. Troy had a guy like that in Demontray Carter back in 99 or 2000. Chunn will run over you. Troy hasn't seen that since DeWitt Betterson (see Missouri game tape). Chunn and Smith are both exciting to watch and both can make a defender look like a JV high school kid in a one-on-one situation.
If Southern Miss and Troy play every game like they did last Saturday, they'll both win a lot of games and be in a bowl somewhere

I knew Chunn was a bruiser but he's a quality back for sure. I was more worried about Frye but as someone said above, our outside speed negated him from the gameplan. I wish we would've used Payne more, he rips off chunks like Chunn. Smith is so exciting, our coaches are afraid not to run him more. I say we save him for the long-haul by splitting the reps some. If we play like that again this year, our QB needs to be on the bench! I've always respected your program and root for you most weeks and I know your staff is still newish. I'm not certain where your weaknesses are but ours should not be at QB and right now, it is the most glaring spot. We may win 10 but we may lose 8 if we don't get all our crap in one sock. Some of our fans are already jumping on our OC (Dawson) but the fact is that Mullens "checked into" some goofy stuff in addition to his INT issues. I expect Troy to win the Belt this year and surely hope you do!!
