Troy Athletics Unveils Four-Year Strategic Plan Adam Prendergast
TROY, Alabama – Under the leadership of Athletics Director Jeremy McClain, the Troy Athletics Department has unveiled its four-year strategic plan (2016-2020) for the continued success and growth of Troy Athletics. Over a nine-month time period, with input from donors, Troy alumni, business leaders, Troy student-athletes and the Troy campus community, the Troy Athletics strategic plan was created. "This document represents the genuine excitement and commitment surrounding Troy Athletics," McClain said. "It is a roadmap for us as staff, coaches and student-athletes to a bright future as a top-tier athletic program. Not only will this document serve us well moving forward, but this process produced many beneficial conversations with our constituents which have paved the way for future success." ( Full Article)

Good read. Planning is important. Glad they shared.
Set some high goals. Like it. Aim high.
Under "Fan Experience", under Goal #1 reads: "Hire and train talented staff members who understand the importance of positive, professional customer service in all interaction."
I am glad they recognize we have a problem in this area and actually said one of their top priorities was to fix it.
Under Facilities: The smallest section but basically said the same thing over and over: we will evaluate, study, research needs, form committees to look into a plan, etc. Confirms that we have no money and the Endzone project is delayed again, on hold until further notice.

We weren't going to have NB a really long time, but that was a big thing when he gave his acceptance speech. Somebody may need to call Milton. Word on the street is he reopened earlier this week.

Big Foot, The Loc Ness Monster and the end zone complex. We have seen drawings and stories of all three but no real evidence to prove they actually exist

I'm sure there has always been a plan and purpose to what the University and athletics have been trying to accomplish but it is nice to see it formalized and published. If anyone on this board is involved in moving these initiatives forward, it would be beneficial to know milestones of accomplishments or receive updates on progress e.g. season ticket sales increases, in-game experiences being added, graduation rates, etc.

Just to sum this document up into three words... Troy Needs Money Here lies the problem with this. They have stumbled and bumbled this end zone project to the point it's the boy who cried wolf. Why they gave former players a video presentation of it in the Spring and told us they break ground in June with a 2017 season goal if the plans weren't finalized, the go ahead from the state wasn't finalized and evidently the money wasn't there either. Then they expect people to continue to give to this project when we can't even get the correct story. It is agravating to no end. A good friend of mine since high school, his son has been offered by Troy. Big physical OL that we can use. He has asked me about the end zone complex, I don't know what to tell him.

Tell him they will get it done. It's similar to your profession. You've got to get the price right before you drive off the lot.

Been told so many things I don't know for real. Starting to think this is similar to a teamate I had who was 6"7. He was promised a bed that would fit him when they recruited him. Five years later he was still sleeping with his legs hanging over the bed.

I just want to give a shout out to Tony and the Athletic Department already working on the customer service thing. They spent hours researching on my behalf, called me personally, and helped me with a private space for an hour during the game. The brave man knew nothing about breastfeeding or breastfeeding laws and went above and beyond the call of duty, including a very awkward convo with the HR department. lol
