One area I haven't seen much chatter on here about is our O line. They look really good to me and I think by the end of the season could be the best part of our team. Would love to hear tset's opinion.
The D Line has been equally impressive! I am most pleased by the recruits over the last 2 yrs in both areas. This coaching staff is doing a great job rebuilding the wall.

The increased speed and size of the last two recruiting classes across the offensive and defensive fronts is clearly evident. Coupled with the senior leadership found there, those two units are getting the job done in an impressive manner.

Agreed, but Crumitie absolutely had his hands full. He won some and he lost some. But, he never quit...period.

Coach Brown said the O-line is the most improved unit on the team this year. Allowing only one sack against Clemson is outstanding. I think we are stacked on the D-line as well. Nobody has been able to run on us yet. This week will define our lines. I'm excited!

They had a huge guy at NG who was aggressive so he would haven been a load to block but I specifically watched him get through often. We are young experience wise so I expect to see that improved quickly. I was impressed with our defense!!! We covered their receivers well and they didn't kill us running the ball. They did drop some as we did. I just hope we can put another effort like the one Saturday together for USM.

Compared to last couple of years this o line units is very much improved. The D line, really the front seven is impressive. My gut tells me this Troy team is bringing that effort every game!

He let the NG come to him and then he couldn't handle him at that point. Maybe if he asserts himself blocking he can get the upper hand. He was pushed into the backfield on pass blocking several times but that ought to get better. His man was really good at Clemson.

Lest not forget it was 95 in the stands where we sat, must have been 98 out on that carpet!! The only two apparent Troy casualties that we saw was a cheerleader, 1st quarter and one of our receivers.

I always stressed one thing to my line, you will at some point go against a man bigger, stronger and faster than you. Play your technique, give it your all and never quit. If you do all three and still get beat it's because he's a better player and I'll be the first to pat your back. Sometimes you don't win but the travesty is when you don't give it 100% or quit

Just needs time and experience.

Its impressive when you have two true freshman that Coach Brown said this week that they were going to more deliberate about getting Gaston, Crowder and Kelley in the game early in the rotation. That'll help give us some fresh legs when we get late in the game.
