I know for a FACT that the band is only going to USA and GS. Full band to USA and a pep band to GS. Unfortunately, it appears as though the band budget shrinks every year. My first year in SOTS (2011), I believe we took a band to every game except the Arkansas and Clemson games. This is my first year out of the band. It seems like every year, administration shrunk our travel budget... That's absolutely ridiculous!!!! I agree but our new campuses in Hong Ki Shek won't build themselves.

Everything is new (stadium not included) Man, if the campus looked like that when I went to school, I would have gotten a couple more degrees.

I agree but that stadium addition has been promised for over 5 years. It's time!!!!!

Not to look past Clemson - But is anyone going to the Southern Miss game in Hattiesburg? Have we ever traveled to play there before? Anyone know anything about the game day experience, Golden Eagle fans, or logistics of visiting? Is there anything worth doing in the area besides driving the hour to Biloxi? I looked on TripAdvisor and it looked pretty spare, but I'm not super familiar with that part of MS. Is there any way to get tickets direct from TROY to make sure you're sitting with fellow Trojans? Believe it or not I've never been to a TROY away game (unless you count bowl games) and am seriously thinking this is a good drivable weekend trip from Panama City where I could stay just Saturday night. Tickets are really cheap and it appears a decent hotel can be had for about $60 per night. It'd be great to go and be part of a solid visiting contingent against a team that just had the steel to beat UK at home. I've been to NFL away games in Atlanta and Jacksonville and had mixed experiences with dealing with the home fans (Atlanta was terrible, Jacksonville was an amazing experience all around) so that's one thing I'm unsure about. I would aim for the USA game (going to be an awesome game against our best rival) but it's not only on a Thursday but during a week when I have to be available for any overnight problems at my job, so a no go. As a USM fan I recommend that you go and experience a game at USM. You will be treated with hospitality and welcomed warmly. Expect to be fed well if you go through the tailgaiting areas. As to what to do, great food is to be had, but if you want entertainment I suggest the coast. We are really looking forward to a great game. This should be a good one for the fans.
