What hotel is everyone resting in and any idea for a spot to gather? Early start Saturday makes it tough to get together!

Not sure yet. Have only driven through there years ago, and I'm not very familiar with the area. However, I believe we're going up on a Thursday evening, spend the day around Clemson on Friday, enjoy the experience on Saturday before heading home late that evening.

I live in Clayton, Ga. About an hours drive from Clemson. There are several towns around Clemson that I would check before actually staying in the town of Clemson. The town itself is quite small. Probably smaller than Troy. Anderson, SC is right on I-85 and offers great eating venues, shopping, etc. It is 20 miles or less from the campus. Seneca, SC(about 10 miles west) is smaller than Anderson, but still few nice restaraunts. Greenville is also not that far(about 45 minutes east) and is one of my favorite cities. It of course has an airport, is right on I-85, has all the shopping and any restaraunt you would want, a zoo, a children's museum, and a great river walk through downtown.

I live in Greenville, SC and as mentioned already about a 45 min north of Clemson. If you dont mind driving 45min further down the road from Clemson then Greenville is a great place today. Anderson would be a great place to stay, plenty of restaurants around as well as shops. For those of you coming in Thursday and spending the day around of Friday, if you like BBQ be sure to check out the Smokin Pig in Pendelton! Also, Clemson sits on Lake Hartwell and near Lake Keowee(good place on Keowee called the Tiki Hut, usually has live music and sits on the marina of Keowee). Friday night if you are in Clemson also check out the ESSO Club. My wife, a Clemson grad, and I will be at the game. Working on a parking pass for a good tailgate area. Once that is figured out, I will post here and all are welcome!
