Typical Troy creativeness for 'Football Only' facility...which means the stadium will remain a cold and dark dump. BTW, there is zero correlation between building these wind mills and winning. Just look at Southern Miss. Look I am all for upgrading our football facilities, but we are really missing an opportunity to get the fans excited...or get them just to come to a game. Fan Game Experience: ZERO

You keep bringing up Southern Miss (who is winning now by the way), but what about the other programs where facility enhancements did help the programs?

Ho, if we upgraded you would miss the high school level ambience that is the underbelly and outer shell of the Vet. Nothing like standing in pee water while at the toilet all the way to waiting 45 minutes for a gas station level hot dog served by a high school kid that has been picking his nose for 3 straight hours.

You keep bringing up Southern Miss (who is winning now by the way), but what about the other programs where facility enhancements did help the programs? Yea after almost three winless seasons. I am all for facilities upgrades, but recruits want to see fans in the stands and just winning doesn't directly correlate with that in Troy's case. Ho can remember several late season games during our 5 year run where there were more players on the field than people in the stands. And who can blame the people for not coming to our games. It's 15 degrees colder in the stands than on the field; the seating areas haven't been cleaned in over a decade; the toilets are a joke and the concourse areas just plan $uck. There is absolutely no effort to increase brand awareness or improve the fan experience - outside the occasional blow-up jumpy out on the tailgate terrace. I am all for upgrading facilities, but if reports are true, this is a missed opportunity using existing infrastructure to address two areas of need. Iowa State gets it...and it's paying off on and off the field.

Always chasing our tail...this could have been addressed by putting the arena in the endzone. Anyway, using existing infrastructure we could have addressed both concerns but typically we will have to raise another 15m later. That stadium impedes our success more than you can imagine. It's a dump.

The something we don't know is what we all know...there is very little creative thinking on that campus, except when it comes to throwing darts at a world map to see where our next 'campus' will be located. Other than that bit of genius, we are always doing what everyone else is doing...six years later. Mark my words on this date, that stadium is an anchor around the programs neck...it's a total dump.

I do agree that it's time to concentrate on the Troy campus. Don't get the China infatuation! I suggested we charge every student activities fees to make money like the Troy kids have to pay. If a student from China wants to be a Troy student and wants to fly over for a game, good deal! If you are a Troy student ANYWHERE, pay that fee!

Finally someone who sees the lack of creatity in Pike Co and the Troy Admin. Ho is genius. True words in this post. Time to harvest some of the trees so the forest doesn't die.

So I guess the rendering has been OR will be released soon - like maybe at the Hall of Fame Banquet - which by the way is only a week and a couple of days away
Has anyone seen the rendering?

Thus Ho's complaint. And thus Troy can't see the forest through the trees They said it was a money issue! More donations/income, more gets done! Plain and simple it all goes back to how it was all rolled out by Steve Dennis. He's the main reason this project has been so drawn out. Soon all that will be in the past.
