With 20 losses looking like reality, where is this program at ? I honestly thought 20 wins was possible. What is holding this program back from winning ? I am a results oriented person, AD should demand we make a tournament/win conference next year.

I am a results oriented person, AD should demand we make a tournament/win conference next year. I'm okay with having very high standards for next year... I think we all expected more this year but probably should not have based on this being a young team. I have seen a much improved team all season, unfortunately wins and losses are the measure of a team. I know winning will help this, but there is zero interest in hoops here and I don't understand it. I've said this 100 times, if I lived in Auburn or Tuscaloosa, I would have season tickets just because I love D-I sports. Students would rather sit in their dorms and frat houses than go to a free game, even if we were winning more, they would not show up. They come to a game to see Miss. State and Ole Miss, but care nothing about the important conference games. I don't get it?! As for the womens games last night, probably the best womens hoops game I ever watched. Troy responded when they had too. Also, Coach Rigby should note, I have only seen them lose 1 game this year.... I think I should be on the road with them as a good luck charm.

Forgot to point out that the "star" for ULL had 0 fouls czlled and their coach got his feeling hurt and an announcment was made that we are not allowed to taunt the other team.... seriously??

The Ramirez show late in the women's game was the highlight for me. As for the men's game missed free throws and the best player in the league beat Troy. The broken finger for the ULL point guard was highly disturbing.

Winning will increase attendance. This has been proven at all levels in all sports. Again, we have a family friend who is graduating from Troy, she loves BB and FB, has never seen a winning season while she was at Troy. We were talking and she stated again that the student body does not have a lot of energy for these programs because as she said " it's hard to get motivated to go cheer when chances are you are going to lose, and we have been losing for yearS" Remember these are 18-22 year old kids, they have different motivations, desires and attention spans than adults so they feed off the winning, sour on the losing. Reality, so any argument about the students should go regardless come hell or high water is not based on reality and common sense.

But we have a $50mill Arena? Ho sez build it and they will come?? GO TROJANS!! I think it was said more than once, winning is more than facilities but some took issue with that but I agree that top facilities help get the top talent. When you have top facilities and years to get and develop that talent then fans have a right to expect change and to be concerned if it doesn't happen but they can express it constructively I believe.

If CPC gets another year, I hope he really turns the program around, not marginal improvement, but a real turnaround. I hope this not only because I always want Troy to win but also because I really like Coach Cunningham!

I'm positive no one wants to win more than him but he's the captain of that ship. He needs to do some serious recruiting and get Person some help. One or two high quality guys could turn it around with what's coming back. Time to hit the road BIG TIME! Good luck coach C!

Interesting point Redwaver....Lets turn back the ole time machine. The suspects in the ole Troy Excuse Club once railied and cried over and over that we had to have top notch facilities to win in BB. Well we got the nice pile of bricks and the same people are moving on the another excuse. A lot of people believe this is a part of Troy's problem, a sizable portion of the fanbase /support will not hold the Admin and Coaching Staff's accountable for the job they do (or lack of job they do) so the programs are allowed to flounder because no pressure is applied for results. "Well coach is a nice guy, so....."

If Coach Cunningham can bring in a good, hard-nosed, big post player then that will help tremedously. Walton III is an okay post player, but he doesn't go hard every game and isn't the best at shooting. If we can get another Yamene Coleman, we'll be good to go.
We also need two perimeter shooters to help Varnado and Person... because the guys helping them out right now aren't performing at a D1 level.

Three straight losing seasons and each season getting progressively worse in a weak BB conference with the facility we have....what are we doing??? CPC, it is his show, I don't care if he brings in 4 seven footers from Croatia, he just a needs to win and win big. Needs to win the SB or make a tournament next year or let's move on....

Also if free throw shooting improved from 64% to around 85% and the point guard free throws improve from 44% to 85% this team will be much much better.

Having coached BB a few years, I'll be darn if I can understand our not improving at the FT line. It's about confidence and practice. We are pass time letting guys shoot 40-50% and still play. Due to family health issues I can't get to games but when I read "doesn't go hard every game" I cringe! There is NO excuse short of injury for that. A scholarship is a contract. If you don't live up to your part by playing hard EVERY SECOND OF EVERY GAME...be gone! That's one thing this fan will not endure quietly just like the discipline issues with LB's last few teams!

You know, if all 3 of these areas are improved next year, Troy will very likely have 20+ wins. Here's to hoping that there will be a big off-season in recruiting and skill improvement!

The only problem is... there are no other post players better than Walton III at this time. Moravek still has a lot of work to do in order to be a consistent, solid post player. Ariri has the size, but he doesn't seem ready either. It's a conundrum.
