Well, Mr. Ho not like to bring this up but for those that were at game, it nightmare that may never be erase from memory. In a game dominated by #1 ranked TMTDM somehow turn into lose versus GaSouth in 1st round of IAA Playoff in a year, TMTDM clearly the most dominate in the country. November 25th, 1995 - a date Mr. Ho never forget. Heck, he still throw up think about game and relive that last drive like it seared in brain. 2 turnovers - thrown by Jeremy Rowell would be the soul-crushing. The first pass of game turn into picked-six for the Eagles. Then with less than a minute left, one timeout and ball 1st and Goal at the GaSouth 2 yard line for some unexplained reason - in a game where TMTDM gain 400+ rushing ball, Don Jacobs calls for a pass and instead of just chunking onto the hill that once occupied the endzone, Rowell panic and throw ball into triple coverage in back of end zone and just like that - it over. TMTDM destined to win IAA Title that year. Look at record. 11-0. TMTDM give up 7, 7, 3, 10, 39, 10, 7, 7, 7, 17, 20 points. Whole season total like two games under Rowell defense. Heck we stomp UA's B team that year 60-7. We were so dominate TMTDM still finish #3 in country at end of season. Maybe 2015 TMTDM help expunge this horrible memory with stomp-on-neck type of game. www.troytrojans.com/custompages/stats/fb/1995/tsu12.htm

I have had therapy about that game. My whole family was there and my Dad and brother were pacing behind our seats (pre-stadium tower). When they lined up to throw the ball my Dad headed for the car - he knew it was a bone-head call.

You will likely forget that game about the same time I forget the LSU game. Let's hope CNB has the same memory seared into his brain.

My biggest concern going into this game is that Troy is getting there Mojo back. This game will show us how much of it is back. We win.. very well could go bowling. But what is impressing me is going bowling seems to be very far from the players minds. Seems to me they are playing for pride! They want to dominate every play. I'm loving it!
The 95 game was horrible. I remember sitting there after the gaming thinking I can't believe what I just saw....how do you not run the ball in that situation. Finally one of my friends came back and got me. It was just shocking.

I don't think anything else would give me greater pleasure this season than beating Southern. Please let it happen!

Ironic that he was involved in two of the most tragic games in TMTDM history....GA Southern and the 2nd half debacle at LSU

Ironic that he was involved in two of the most tragic games in TMTDM history....GA Southern and the 2nd half debacle at LSU He was also involved in all of our good moments during that era. Thankful for what he did well. Forgetful of the others (until they are brought from the deep recesses of my memory). Most glad we have the staff we have now and the players are responding to the coaching. Forward "Men of Troy" forward.

My biggest concern going into this game is that Troy is getting there Mojo back. And when TMTDM do, Mr. Ho have long list of Get Even With List and unfortunate for GaSoutheastern, they on list. But they not at top of list. not even close. At least GaSoutheastern have history of actually winning something - legit. Top of list belong to steroid-laced, cheerleading chasing maniac, his zombie-like minions and his ACT-modified clown team down at SWLa - they not think their stuff stink. Oh yea, their day is coming and coming soon.

Hopefully the Bald Eagles from Southeastern Georgia will move closer to the top of your list after this weekend. Just remember Mr. Ho Georgia Southern is a poor school with no money so there is no worry about any of them Eagles using any that is steroid-laced due to as far as ValleyBoy know that stuff cost money an everyone know them Eagles have no money.

I think thou dost protest too much. I'm sure these things are sold out and at $35,000 for the season, that's not something the alums of a poor school with no money can afford. I, for one, am not buying your tale of woe. sso.cmgdigital.com/static/server.html?origin=http%3A%2F%2Fcollegefootball.blog.ajc.com%2F2015%2F06%2F12%2Ffans-can-tailgate-in-mini-mansions-at-georgia-southern%2F

Too many great victories in Troy football to dwell on one or two bad losses.

I was at that game. Just like the LSU game years later, I still wanted to blow chow in the stands. I was at both. The Rowell INT most believe cost Troy a National Championship. The LSU meltdown cost the most visible victory in the programs history. Like so many have said there were truly shocked fans after the Rowell INT, people couldn't move. After LSU, I was glad to get out of that place alive. When we were up 31-3, we were looking around and the LSU fan base was pissed and drunk, and if we had won they were going to take it out on someone. Rowell INT was one play of lapse judgement by coach and player, the LSU meltdown was an entire quarter of pure stupid by several coaches. The Rowell INT had a bigger effect of wanting to blow chunks.

Since we are doing this. Let's do it right. We had played like crap the entire game. We played like we expected a championship that year without earning it in the playoffs. Mainly because we had been world beaters in the regular season. We come to the last series. Tackled at the 2. 1st and goal. But if I remember correctly we had 1 or no timeouts. None I think. With seconds of time left on the clock. A field goal sent us to over time. So looking back on it now 20 years later... you have to pass the ball and not get sacked because of time. If the play was not there throw it away. So I don't think the coaches screwed up on the call. With the time left you probably had a couple of shots with a pass play. Then kick it and go to overtime. Just trying to win it the qb made a bad decision. It was time for that same man to step down as coach. His life has been better for it at as well. Sometimes you just need to know when is the time to call it. For me that is in the past. Rowell has meant way to much to this program over the years to continue talking about him in a negative light. I hope when he comes back he holds his head high he gave it his all for this program for a good portion of his life. I choose to remember all the good decisions he made in his almost 20 years as a Trojan player and coach. Forward "Men of Troy" forward.

Had one timeout, had more than a "few" seconds. Yes, hindsight is 20/20 but the call was not good. We were unstoppable on the ground, the GS defense was jelly. Run the ball with the timeout, it was who we were. And no you don't throw it into triple coverage. Lob it over the endzone and run another play. Don't be afraid of the past, both good and bad. You get better from both. Heck, your a preacher, you reference the past (both good and bad) all day to get your message through. And a fanbase will always bring up the past, it is what they do. Ho started the thread about the play, embrace it.

Ho started the thread about the play, embrace it. You save the timeout to setup the field goal.....so call a pass on 1st and 2nd if time...then run and call the time out if you need it. I understand the play call. Bone head decision on the throw. You learn from the past. You don't embrace it and continue to live in it. I rather live in grace. I am very glad my past was a learning experience that I don't have to embrace anymore.
