Do we get any restitution for the bump or if they don't fulfill it in a later year?

The next three years Home non-conference slate is going to lick (exception: Boise St.) Need to come up with something good for 2017, not excited about the gang infested potential shoot out that will be Alabama St.

Nope. Based on fact. The last time Alabama State was in Troy there were a lot of Troy fans scared for their safety both before and after the game, especially after the game. Leaving that game was flat out dangerous. Fights were everywhere. When our group was leaving we had a group thugs trying to slap the ladies butts and hooting and hollering at them, trying to press up against them. It was unreal.

I would think that it will STAY a HOME GAME and they are going to bring a team in that will result in a WIN for The Trojans.
The Administration and Coaching Staff have probably been reading this board and thought we needed to get rid of a game that could be considered a toss up or loss to an ACC team (I forgot, no sarcasm button to click - just kidding).

What gangs were they in? It's certainly inexcusable for people to be drunk and obnoxious at football games, but is that behavior solely all people associated with bama st? No other people?

Stinks for us because we will probably have to get a FCS to fill the date or worse go on the road. My bet is NCState never comes to Troy. The reasonings on the link above don't make sense. They moved the Furman game into the weekend they were supposed to travel to play us? I hope the contract does have a termination penalty.

Do we get any restitution for the bump or if they don't fulfill it in a later year? From what I understand no comp for the bump. However, they could buy their way out of the agreement all together.

It is what it is my friends. If it happens lets hope they write a big check.
No need to stereotype Alabama St. I. Had a bad experience at MTSU once. Doesn't mean they are all bad.

Not sure, not up on the gang signs. But when we confronted them they starting flashing signs, pretending to pull something from their belts, barking some unrecognizable slang. Typical thug behavior. Some had Alabama St. gear on. Turns out our experience was not unique. People were generally scared. Not any police to be found. They need to play that game early in the day. Regardless, I have been attending Troy home games for over 25 years, never seen anything like that. Never feared for the safety of fellow Trojans at a Troy game except for Alabama St. Have to go with what you know ( and seen and experienced)

They will put the numbers to it and if paying the penalty is less than what they can make on a replacement home game, I see them canceling, which sucks.

I remember a time when a man's word was his word and it Meant something. Just in case, a contract was written to insure promises were kept. Today, not only does a man's word mean little, a contract is worth almost as much as the paper it's written on. I hope the buyout penalty is at least as much as we are getting paid to go to their place twice.
