The individuals in 107 who experienced the events of last Saturday have been contacted by e-mail and or phone. It has come to our attention that, due to an extremely large student turn-out, a number of seats in section 107 were used by students instead of their actual ticket holders. While we are very happy to see the increased student participation, we never want to alienate our committed season ticket holders. Going forward, we will be taking steps to ensure that students stay in the student sections. These include: · Positioning multiple event staff members on the aisle separating section 107 and the student section to prevent spill-over. · Event staff at the top of the section will continue to check ticket stubs to ensure our patrons are sitting in the correct sections. · Increased awareness by police in regards to the edge of the student section. If for any reason you experienced a problem and wish to move out of section 107, we are happy to oblige with a seat transfer. Please contact our ticket office at 334-670-3681 and ask to speak with Rachel Ketchum, our Ticket Manager, who will be able to assist you. You are also welcome to reply to this email. Again, thank you for your support of Troy Trojans football and Troy University. We look forward to seeing you at Homecoming on October 17th.The athletic department has been extremely generous to all who were involved. Every individual that I have spoken with has taken full advantage of the opportunity to transfer/upgrade seats and they are all 100% satisfied with this response. Total frat move by the Athletic Department.

They have a select blue ribbon committee investigating. It is comprised of the Sigma Chi president and his girlfriend, the owner of the front porch, and the delta chi president

Ladies and gentlemen, I'll be brief. The issue here is not whether they broke a few rules, or took a few liberties with our guests - But you can't hold a whole fraternity responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole fraternity system? And if the whole fraternity system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our educational institutions in general? I put it to you, - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to them but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!

Mr. Ho never post past page one, but this exception. THIS is not problem. THIS is outstanding. And troystet we get it you don't like fraternities, but consider this, Mr. Ho thought most of the football players were pricks in the early 80's, but Mr. Ho supported you at most every game for the 7 year he attend class including all 13 games Mr. Ho senior year. That was tough thing to do considering we lowly DII team back then. So bash all you want, the Greek system are the biggest supporters of all TMTDM sports teams. To the entire student: OUTSTANDING JOB!

We didn't get along with the frats very well when I was a student, there was not a lot of love lost between us. When we were busting our hump practicing real football all the sorority girls were up by Sartain cheering on Biff and Otter playing there Greek flag football. If a guy feels like he needs to write a check to have friends and a house to get drunk in and other things...so be it. Doesn't mean I have to like the system. P.S. Us jocks were the salt of the earth gay-laugh

Us jocks were the salt of the earth gay-laugh Wow! How said is this? We really need to win soon. T set has some repressed anger for the frat boys getting more attention from the ladies than he did while at practice. It is sad that a few poor decisions by a small group (relatively speaking) shine a bad light on all the student body and groups. Young kids - bad decisions - situation handled by adults - lets act like adults and shut our mouths about it publically and do our part to make the situation better.
By the way I was in a fraternity. The relationships that were built then have been very beneficial to me personally and professionally. The network of friends that I made in college - God has used to open many doors while I was self employed and after I surrendered to the ministry. You always get out of something what you put into it. I don't regret a single penny I spent on the brotherhood.

Troystet continues to speak of something he knows nothing about - fraternities - football players shoot guns, get arrested and grope women - or at lest they did when I was in school - well 3 of them did so that makes all of them bad - All I can tell you is my fraternity delivered a check north of $10,000 to Children's Hospital this year - those drunken, seat taking, smoking kids I now no longer read his post - would someone tell him
WE WILL NEVER RECRUIT CENTRAL FLORIDA
because of him - what a broken &^%(*&^ record - joke
Like Ho said: OUTSTANDING JOB STUDENTS! KEEP IT GOING (except for the seat taking part)

We can all agree that the students that did this were in the wrong. It happens. College age kids do dumb things whether they are in a fraternity, on a team, or a high school dropout. The real issue at hand is the failure of the event staff and officers that didn't take care of it before it escalated.

KEEP IT GOING (except for the seat taking part) My son pledged at Frat his first year at Troy and against my judgement I let him. He called that Spring and said he wanted out. Guys doing drugs, wanting him to do cocaine, going to the jail to get a brother out, he said enough is enough. So don't tell me I know nothing. Did we have some thugs under Blakeney? Yes. I heard stories from both my kids and their friends but everyone said I was crazy. Guess I wasn't when NB got rid of some. As far as not recruiting Cent FL, I don't even care anymore. They won't so good luck with that. You won't read my posts anymore, I'll sleep like a baby knowing that. I could care less

Assume what you want...you and the rest always do anyhow. I don't see any of you saying anything to the poster that brought this up and others that used the Frat word...but that's none of my business. I supported the fans this happened to, nothing more. I stated that frats and STUDENTS and ADULTS have no right to public drunkeness and doing whatever they darn right feel on Troy University grounds and that especially applies to the stadium. Do I like the Greek System? NO!!! Do I think everyone in a Frat is bad? NO!! Do I think most use it for a place to get drunk and take advantage of girls? Yes. And I have a son who witnessed it all and at Troy. Done talking about this. Move on

Professing statements like the ones above, along with your previous statements, shows your complete ignorance of the subject matter. And just reiterates your agenda based on something that you have never been a part of. Quit spewing nonsense and spreading falsehoods. Thank you.

Good God can we drop this subject. The students are jamming their section and that's a problem? They're students and for the most part idiots. I should know, I was one once. Drinking, cussing, smoking? Wow, this isn't Liberty, it's Troy. The home upper deck is a disgrace. Move over there, it's not like you are at Neyland Stadium and are sitting 300 yards from the field. I sat with my family in the upper deck (general admission away side) and took this picture showing all the available seating on the home side upper deck. I really wish Troy would make that available to the students.
