I like coach....says it as it is........lots of opinions on stuff so far on this board.......They USA played hungry like coach said....we did not execute on the drops and they screwed up some too......With that said....Brandon Silvers had not thrown an int in so long that when he did he came back and pressed and threw another horrid one....
Most QB's have a bit more of up and down through a season or just all up but most have had their downs too. Brandon was shelled shocked at his own play....stood in there and threw pretty ok for having a terrible outing by all accounts.....and drops occur but when in combo with an OFF nite......bad things happen to your psyche....................Coach is right this can be a turning point and with MSU coming up the boys could be coming to homecoming at 1-4 and with some of the new and spirit being challenged......The chances are that beginning with the Idaho game Troy has a good chance in at NMSU the following week to put some momentum back together and play with the spirit shown the first 3 weeks.....Look at Ole Miss they beat Alabama and then get arses handed to them at Florida....Our offense laid an egg in several areas......The battle is now going to become a tad bit more mental........lets cheer them on and who knows what will happen at MSU a good showing and some good fortune could really be a shot in the arm.......If we hold it together and win against Idaho and NMSU this could still be a good year where we compete with anyone we play.....
Yes Silvers had a really bad nite for a kid who has done really well........I have had a will probably continue to have a few of those....but Brandon will be ok. I too would love to see a little playmaking with Pruitt but not necessarily at QB . I still love the effort that we have going on just last nite was a disappointment. But like I said it won't be my last in a good many areas not just football....It's all in how you get up and how you go on.....

I just have to say - I'm loving Neal Brown. It was a tough loss for me as I was really hyped up about the game and thought we'd win it handily; especially coming of some promising showings against tough opponents.
I like him because it seems to communicate through the interview that he isn't just grasping at straws or hoping that they win because they catch enough breaks. He's focused on the big picture, recognizing the weaknesses and dedicated to pushing through the din of the sour moment to the lasting good. I'm really sold on him as our head coach and back him 100 % as we're in it for the long haul.
Thank you, coach!
